Voluntary Weekly COVID-19 Testing at School for Vaccinated and Unvaccinated Sign Up Now
District 41 will be offering voluntary COVID-19 saliva screening tests this school year for both unvaccinated and vaccinated students and staff. The screening tests will be provided and administered once a week at school through the SHIELD Illinois program at no cost to the district.
If you would like your child/ren to participate, please complete the "Voluntary Covid-19 Testing Consent Form" in Skyward by Friday, August 27 to be included in the first round of testing. If you sign up after Friday, you will be included in testing the following week. If you have already filled out the form or do not want to participate, you do not need to take further action. The program will start on September 13.

COVID-19 Close Contacts and Quarantine Reminders
Please review the below information related to close contacts and quarantine as determined by the Center for Disease Control, Illinois Department of Public Health and the DuPage County Health Department.
Close Contact through Proximity and Duration of Exposure: Someone who was within 6 feet of an infected person (laboratory-confirmed or a clinically compatible illness) for a cumulative total of 15 minutes or more over a 24-hour period (for example, three individual 5-minute exposures for a total of 15 minutes). An infected person can spread SARS-CoV-2 starting from 2 days before they have any symptoms (or, for asymptomatic patients, 2 days before the positive specimen collection date), until they meet criteria for discontinuing home isolation.
Exception: In the K–12 indoor classroom setting, the close contact definition excludes students who were within 3 to 6 feet of an infected student (laboratory-confirmed or a clinically compatible illness) if both the infected student and the exposed student(s) correctly and consistently wore well-fitting masks the entire time.
This exception does not apply to teachers, staff, or other adults in the indoor classroom setting.
Close contacts as defined above will be contacted directly. Parents of students who meet the new exception in the K-12 indoor classroom setting are not directly contacted, as those students do not require quarantine.
If there is a confirmed COVID-19 positive case in your school building, the principal will send out a notification letter to the school community. If you have any questions related to this information, please contact your school principal.
Register by TODAY Aug. 26th for the COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic at Hadley
District 41 is partnering with AMITA Health to host a FREE vaccine clinic for students ages 12 and up, family members and staff. The clinic will take place on September 1 and 22 for doses one and two, 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Hadley Junior High, 240 Hawthorne Blvd, Glen Ellyn. Participants will enter Hadley using Door 9. AMITA will be offering the Pfizer vaccine. Anyone under 18 will need a parent/guardian present.
Please CLICK HERE to fill out the registration form.
AMITA will follow up to schedule your appointments. Please do not schedule yourself/your child if you will not be available to attend both the 9/1 and 9/22 clinic dates. All interested participants should have a conversation and get their questions answered regarding the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine with their own and their child's primary healthcare provider. This event is being offered as a courtesy to our families as the vaccine is not mandated.
Transportation Update
Due to an ongoing driver shortage our busing partner First Student has not been able to provide the level of service we have come to expect. There have been multiple days where there are simply not enough drivers to complete all of the scheduled bus routes. As a result, there have been delays across all schools within the District in both the morning and afternoon service. The other Glenbard feeder schools as well as District 87 are experiencing the same or more significant challenges. We continue to work with First Student to assist them in any way possible. Unfortunately, the lack of available drivers creates a problem that is very difficult for First Student to overcome.
First Student continues to recruit and train new drivers. They expect to have newly hired and trained drivers available in the coming weeks which should help alleviate some of the service issues we are currently experiencing. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work through these challenges.
