Hello Mayo Families,
The start of the 3rd Quarter, a Snow Day, a Choose to be Nice Celebration, a Play Day and a Half-Day, Groundhog Day, and Report Cards issued! Phew! I think this week will be a little less crazy!
There have been some changes in the morning (AM) times for buses (29, 52, 55, 57). Please check PowerSchool. Changes are effective Tuesday!
We had some fun in the snow this week at recess! There was sledding, and football, and sliding, and snowman building!
The 100th day of school is Wednesday 2/7. Classes are creating ways to celebrate and our Kindergarten kiddos will be walking to classrooms to show off their 100 Day hats! Also, our "Soup"er Bowl Food Drive began last Friday. There are already non-perishables piling up in the front lobby! Our drive will be held through 2/9. We will be having a PJ Day to end the drive on February 9th!!
Don't forget February Break is 2/19-2/23!
Kindly,
Carolan Kasper
Principal

Bus Safety
Reminder
Please remind your child(ren) about maintaining safe behaviors on the school bus. We have had an uptick in behaviors since our return from winter break. There is detailed information in the Mayo Handbook (link at bottom of SMORE) but here is some basic info pertaining to our biggest safety concerns. Students must:
- Remain in his/her seat when the bus is moving
- Restrict his/her talking to those children who are sitting next to him/her. Shouting will distract the bus driver
- Not use inappropriate language
- Not fight-bully-tease others on the bus.
We appreciate your help keeping our bus rides safe!
