Pre-Administration Day for AP Exams
On Wednesday, April 25th, all students who have already registered for one or more AP Exams in May must attend a Pre-Administration Session which will take place during an extended Advisory. During this session, students will fill in demographic and other information that is required for all AP exams. Filling in this information in advance saves students up to 45 minutes of additional ‘seat time’ on the day of the exam, reduces anxiety, and makes for a smoother test administration. All students taking AP exams are required to attend this session.

Snowboarding
Connor Smullen, a Junior at Central Bucks West High School has been an avid snowboarder for many years and has competed in the slopestyle and rail jam events for the last several years. He has enjoyed volunteering as an instructor/assistant coach for the Pocono Peak Ski and Snowboard Club that meets at Big Boulder Ski Resort. He built a couple of ramps and numerous rails in his back yard that allow him to practice year-round. Connor has also been awarded a provisional patent on a snowboard-skateboard device he made that permits the user to perform snowboard tricks in a skate park.
USASA (United States of America Snowboard and Freeski Association) is an organization that sponsors snowboarding and skiing competitions through 32 regional series. It is an organization in which all of the US Snowboard medal winners in the 2018 Winter Olympics have competed. Connor has participated in the Midatlantic Region in slopestyle and rail jam events. By compiling the most points at various competitions in his region, he won both events for each of the past two years, qualifying for the National Championship event at Copper Mountain Ski Resort in Colorado. He just returned from competing in Nationals where most of the qualifiers live in the shadows of a major ski resort or attend a snowboard/ski school full time. Connor is self-taught for the most part and has never really been formally coached. Congratulations, Connor!
