Georgia Department of Education-Students and Parents Health and Safety Survey
In the next few days, our scholars will be taking a Health and Safety survey. Every school in the state is required to administer this survey. Schools that do not administer this survey, will not receive any points on the CCRPI-School Report Card for this year. Therefore, we need your help to ensure that we have a 100% participation rate for our school. Our scholars will that the survey at school; however, we are asking that all parents and guardians take the survey as well. Please know that if you do not want your scholar to participate in the survey, please complete and return the opt-out letter that all scholars will receive this week. We need all Parent's surveys to be completed no later than October 20, 2023. Use the link below to access the Parent Health and Safety survey. We will send out a reminder close the the end. Thank you for your support!

WE ARE A NO PLACE FOR HATE SCHOOL and SCHOOL SYSTEM
If you don't have anything nice and pleasant to say to someone, keep your comments to yourself.
Please note that NO form of BULLYING will be tolerated and that both student and parent can be held accountable/liable for student actions.
ADDITIONALLY, PLEASE MONITOR YOUR CHILD SOCIAL MEDIA POSTING AND ACCOUNTS. A LOT OF WHAT WE DEAL WITH HERE AT SCHOOL STARTS FROM THEIR SOCIAL MEDIA POSTINGS THAT GO UNMONITORED.
SPORTING EVENTS EXPECTATIONS FOR ALL CLEMENTS AND NEWTON COUNTY SCHOOLS FANS AND SPECTATORS
SPORTING EVENTS EXPECTATIONS FOR ALL CLEMENTS AND NEWTON COUNTY SCHOOLS FANS AND SPECTATORS
ALL CLEMENTS MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT WHILE AT THE GAME. STUDENTS WILL NOT BE ADMITTED WITHOUT AN ADULT STAYING FOR THE GAME.
Elementary and middle school students are welcome spectators to high school athletic events in Newton County School System, as respectful partnerships among students, staff, parents, and the community are integral to student success. Yet, we must take precautionary measures to ensure the safety and well-being of all students, which remains the district’s highest priority.
Due to the large crowds at our football games, students under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a supervising adult. Students who are not with a supervising adult will not be permitted in the stadium. Please note, that high school students are not acceptable substitutes for supervising adults. Thank you for your partnership and support.
EVERYONE MUST EXHIBIT GOOD BEHAVIOR- OR BE BANNED FROM FUTURE EVENTS OR THE CAMPUS!
Student Check Out (ATTENDANCE IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT)
SCHOLARS WHO ARE CHECKED OUT BEFORE 12:30 P.M. WILL BE COUNTED ABSENT FOR THE ENTIRE DAY. PLEASE KEEP OUR STUDENTS IN SCHOOL.
Any person checking out a student must be listed in the Parent Portal and have a valid government-issued photo ID. Please take a moment to add any adults who might need to check out your child. For safety reasons, we ask that all checkouts happen before 3:30 PM.
PARENT UNIVERSITY INFORMATION INFO YOU CAN USE
SRA-Corrective Reading program
SRA Corrective Reading provides intensive Direct Instruction-based reading intervention for students in Grades 3-Adult who are reading below grade level. Four levels for decoding plus four for comprehension, which address the varied reading deficits and skill levels found among older students.
Why Literacy is Important-
Students who can't read effectively fail to grasp important concepts, score poorly on tests, and ultimately, fail to meet educational milestones. Literacy skills allow students to seek out information, explore subjects in-depth, and gain a deeper understanding of the world around them.
READ, READ. READ!!!!!
