Our first Career Day was a huge success! The kids were engaged and you could see the joy on their face as they had hands on experiences with different careers. A big thanks to Carrollton Police, Carrollton Fire, Carrollton Public Works, Carrollton Parks Department, Oncor, Aussie Mobile Pet Groomers, Carter Blood Care, USPS, DJ Cone, and Zuzu’s Creamery for taking part in our elementary Careers on Wheels. We also want to extend a thanks to all of our speakers that came out to talk to our 7th-9th grade students. These students loved hearing from speakers with interesting careers. Some of these careers were a 911 Dispatcher, a Firefighter, a U.S. Marshall, an F-16 Engineer, a Realtor, and many others. Throughout the afternoon they were able to go through a life simulation where they calculated GPA, paid bills, bought a house, and balanced their budget. It was a fantastic day for our Trivium Knights! Special shout out to Becca Jones for an amazing job!
