It is now time to register for GaETC! Hopefully you've already secured your sub! It is VERY IMPORTANT that you take the time to read and follow the directions below.

If you were accepted to present at GaETC and are listed as the MAIN PRESENTER, do not register through the directions below. Your registration is covered by the conference.

GaETC is a 3-day event, November 2-4, 2016 at the Georgia International Convention Center (2000 Convention Center Concourse, Atlanta, GA 30337).

As a member of Vanguard, your attendance and your substitute is paid for!

You can attend 3 days, 2 days or 1 day. All you need to do –

• Discuss with your principal.
  
• Secure your sub.
  
• Register for GaETC before Oct. 6th.
  

Carla Mendes from Instructional Technology will communicate with your school bookkeeper concerning the substitute reimbursement.

3. Enter your email address. SUBMIT Register myself for this event
a. If you are in the system, your information from last year will populate – make necessary updates.
b. If you are NOT in the system, complete the ‘New Registrant” page

4. Registration Options, select ‘I have a Pre-Paid Group Code’

5. As you complete the form there is a box - ‘Please select a conference registration type or code’, select FCVAN400 – Full Conference

NOTE: If you register for Pre-Conference Workshops, you are responsible for the cost of the workshop

6. Payment Options, select ‘Pre-Paid Group Code’

7. Submit

IF YOU REGISTER FOR PRE-CONFERENCE WORKSHOPS, YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE COST OF THE WORKSHOP.

At our Vanguard Voice session recently, individuals asked about the obtaining access to the resources, presentations, etc. from the event.

All of the materials from VanCon are housed in a OneNote notebook for everyone to view. If you have questions about a particular presentation, contact the presenter!

Upcoming Events:

• October 11, 2016 - Vanguard PD Day: This is a county-wide professional development day for teachers. If you are not assigned to attend PD for another group (i.e. Learning Architects, Special Areas, etc.), you are required to attend PD for Vanguard.
• October 22, 2016 - EdCampFulton / Powered By Vanguard: Hosted by NELC leads Megan Endicott & Andrea Rioux and Vanguard Storyteller, Karen Artis, this EdCamp is open to ALL - Vanguard and non-Vanguard. Next week you'll receive more information in the VanWeekly!

Our #fcsvanguard Twitter chats are returning next week - Thursday, September 8 @ 7:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.! Your Vanguard lead, Heather, will get things started with a conversation that's still TBD.

INTERACT: For the first time ever, Vanguard is offering a face-to-face opportunity to learn about and participate in a Twitter chat for anyone interested - Vanguard or not! Join NELC leads, Megan & Andrea, at 5 Seasons on Old Milton Pkwy. from 7:15-8:30. Enjoy a brief evening out while learning about and participating in our first chat of the year. More F2F sessions will take place throughout the year and in different parts of the county! If you think you might join them, let us know on this form so the restaurant can be prepared. :)

If you did not attend the kick-off, or you have not downloaded the team commitment letter, please do so. You will have until Monday, September 12th to submit it.

Who can you turn it in to? You can email it to Heather or your Learning Community Lead. You can also send the physical page to your LC Lead through school mail.

What if I have questions before I sign? Feel free to contact one of your LC Leads if you have questions about the expectations or commitment form.

A big shout-out to Fulton County and all of the Microsoft Forms users! There is no other district who has Office 365 who is using Forms more than Fulton. Because of that, they want our feedback. Please take this BRIEF survey so we can share our thoughts with them.
