MAINTENANCE / GROUNDS / TRANSPORTATION

  • LH Rather Athletics was prepped to receive a new, large capacity washer and dyer. Our crew had to remove an exterior doorframe and part of a block wall so the dryer would fit through the entry but it is now in place.
  • The Maintenance Department is staying busy completing work orders on a daily basis.
  • The Transportation Department has been winterizing the buses and preparing them to continue to transport our kids safely.

TECHNOLOGY

  • On Monday 11/21, Mike and Daniel implemented the New Fortigate Firewall. This removes a lot of the workload (bottleneck) on our CipaFilter appliance that had been used as both the content filter and firewall for the district's internet services.
  • The tech department continues to stay busy with tech tickets and resolving issues.
  • Our team has installed several more cameras at BHS with an additional 5 more to be installed. They completed the new Ag Barn system and will also be adding two more cameras to the BHS Fieldhouse.

  • Everyone in our Tech Department attended The North Star Group Training at Sherman ISD and toured the new Sherman High School as part of the training.

  • GCEC & Tadiran upgraded our Cloud Network(Server) and we have not gone offline or experienced any more glitches in service.

BHS has a new doorbell/intercom that creates a double controlled entry. This was installed by 3D Security.

The foul poles and fence foul lines were added to the fence at the baseball field. The block for the dugouts should be delivered at any time.
