The Sioux Falls School District is excited to welcome your participation in our public school and community events through the Gold Card Club! The Gold Card is available at no charge to residents 60 years & older. As a valued Gold Card Member, you can enjoy several Member perks:

Gold Card Series Events are provided by the joint efforts of Community Education and the Fine Arts Department. You will have the opportunity to see talent from elementary, middle and high school students while also learning something new! The series is held at a variety of school buildings and may sometimes include a meal. Invitations are mailed or emailed out for these events. Minimal fees may be required for Gold Card Events.

Celebrate the holidays with SFSD Community Relations at our annual Gold Card Holiday event!

Join us at Sioux Falls' Roosevelt High School for a celebration featuring a turkey dinner with all the fixings! Enjoy dessert and coffee, several stunning student music ensemble performances, and messages from: Superintendent Dr. Jane Stavem, Principal Tim Hazlett, and Community Relations Director DeeAnn Konrad.

In the last week of February, we will host a presentation/performance by John Beyrle, former US ambassador to Russia, Joseph Horowitz, cultural historian, and Jean-Efflam Bavouzet, concert pianist. Bavouzet will play Ravel and share the relationship between Ravel and jazz, the exchange between American music and French music. Beyrle will talk about how music is an instrument for cultural exchange and his experience as a diplomat. This is part of a partnership arrangement with the SF School District and the SD Symphony Orchestra.
