Performance Series Results
Yesterday all 3rd-5th grade students came home with an envelope in their backpack that contained their fall Performance Series results. Inside the envelope, you will find a letter from David Chiszar, the Director of Assessment and Accountability, that explains the assessment and how to interpret the results. If you have any questions about the assessment or the results, please contact me at 331-228-6637 or Jarrod.Buxton@d303.org.
Kick-A-Thon
I want to thank all of our Munhall students who have already donated to the Kick-A-Thon. All of the money raised through our donation fundraiser will go directly to the Living Well Cancer Resource Center, Fox Valley Food and Health, and the American Cancer Society. The Kick-A-Thon event is Friday, October 4th prior to the start of the STC North vs. East football game. Next Friday, September 27th, we will have a Munhall Spirit Day. All students are encouraged to wear their Munhall purple to show their school pride. Students are welcome to donate $1.00, which will go directly to the Kick-a-Thon fundraiser on behalf of Munhall.
PTO Author’s Night
Our PTO will sponsor a fun, family event on Friday, September 27th. PTO Author’s Night will be an evening to celebrate reading and writing with four local authors. Natalie Rompella, Mary and Rich Chamberlain, and Lori Degman will visit Munhall and spend the evening with our students and families. Information will be coming home regarding how to pre-order their books in advance of the Author’s Night. Families are invited to bring a picnic dinner at 6:00 in the cafeteria, and the event will formally begin at 6:30 with small group author presentations.
Lunch/Recess Supervisors
Organic Life, our food service vendor, is still looking to fill lunch/recess supervision positions at Munhall. If you are interested, please contact Patricia Burton at 331-228-5242 or patricia.burton@d303.org.
Have a great weekend!
