The Small Virtual Library
Your weekly virtual visit to the Small Library!
Week of 4/19/2021
Welcome to the the Small Virtual Library! I am your Small Librarian, Ms. Sylvia.
This week's Small Virtual Library features dystopian fiction and a special reading room to celebrate Pride Week.
Dystopian fiction is a form of fiction that began as a response to utopian literature, that created perfect societies or worlds. A dystopia is the opposite of a utopia, or a perfect society. A dystopia is an imagined community, society, or world that can be undesirable or even frightening. Our books this week feature all different kinds of dystopias and some are created as a result of an apocalyptic event (destruction of the world as they knew it) or even non human characters. Enjoy, and happy reading!
Don't forget: Click on the book covers to view the book trailers for each title.
