The Power for Change
This week, those who set out to improve the westside of town, reached a huge milestone. It started with a lone voice asking to not be complacent, and then it was a committee. Next, it will be a conversation, with the ability to make the changes the Westside Community Improvement District deems important. "There is no power for change greater than a community discovering what it cares about." Margaret J. Wheatley

Beginning this week, part of the community center parking lot will be closed to allow room for construction of the parking lot expansion that will occur toward Wornall Road.

The water bar walls will be stabilized above the voids in the floor to protect the tile walls from collapsing. After the concrete is poured, work will transition to restoring plumbing, electrical, & cabinetry in the water bar; expect to complete current scope of work by end of February.
- Clay County Cities are discussing Opioid Settlement, Ballot for sales Tax on non-medical marijuana retail sales, & transportation priorities
Choose your attitude!
The road just got a little more complicated for the Chiefs. But on Monday, there will be a silver lining: they will be one of only four teams still on that road.
