Bell Schedule Modified this Week!
4th Floor Classroom Relocations - Wednesday, October 25
All Students - Action Required
If your class is usually on the 4th floor, please keep in mind that it will be temporarily relocated due to PSAT testing taking place on that floor. To find your new classroom location, consult the attached document below for your teacher's name and the corresponding room assignment.
PSAT/NMSQT
All 10th, and registered 9th and 11th grade students will take the PSAT on October 25th from 7:10 - 11:30 AM. Students need to arrive on time and there will be no check-outs during this time. Bring a non-mechanical pencil and a scientific or graphing calculator if you have one.
The PSAT is an excellent primer for the SAT, and even the ACT, but it's more than just a trial run. PSAT scores are used to identify National Merit Scholars and award merit scholarships.

Free Tutoring through Tutor.com
Did you know that GCPS partners with the Gwinnett County Public Library (GCPL) to provide Tutor.com as an online tutoring resource for students?
Students can get one-on-one tutoring in any math, science, social studies, and English subject. Tutor.com covers 40 subjects, including AP courses and SAT/ACT prep. Live tutoring support is available daily from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. and students can also drop off their papers to get 24-hour feedback from a professional.
To login, students will use their student number as their username and their birthday month and day (MMDD) as the password. Learn more here: https://bit.ly/gcps_Tutor10-23
Picture Retake Day
Picture Retake Day is scheduled for Friday, October 27th. Any student who missed picture day on September 18 or who wishes to retake a photo, MUST complete the request form below by today, Friday, October 20th. Students will receive a pass with their assigned photo time.
GA Student Health Survey
Seckinger High School will be administering the GA Student Health Survey on Thursday, November 9, during Social Studies classes. If you would like to have your child opt out, please follow these directions and email it directly to Randi.Hill@gcpsk12.org no later than November 3.
GCPS Connected
Be sure to check out this week's edition of GCPS' Connected! Connected is a show that keeps families and students plugged in and connected to everything that's happening in Gwinnett County Public Schools. You should receive a weekly edition directly from GCPS via email. This week, one of our SKG students, Kayla Benefield, served as the student correspondent. See minute 02:10 in the video to watch Kayla's segment.
Creating and Maintaining a Safe Environment at SKG
At Seckinger, we have vestibules located at the front and back entry of our building. Our vestibules are double glass door entries with bullet-resistant glass film.
- When arriving at the school, ring the doorbell and state your reason for being here.
- You will then be buzzed through the first set of doors and into the vestibule.
- All visitors not employed by GCPS will need to then proceed with the Raptor - a program that screens visitors against the National Sex Offenders Registry.
- Visitors are required to insert their driver's license/state identification into the card reader located on a table inside the vestibule.
- Once our staff receives your clearance from Raptor, you will then be buzzed into the second set of doors where you will be able to receive either your visitor's badge or check-out your student (attendance office - back of the building).
Next Digital Learning Day (DLD) - Friday, November 3
Friday, November 3, is the second of four DLDs this school year. Students will log in to eCLASS from home for online assignments. Visit the GCPS DLD webpage.
