Bateman Buzz; VOL 10

2023-2024; VOL 10
Dear Bateman Families and Friends,
Congratulations on celebrating over 100 Days of School! We are so proud of the immense growth our students have achieved in just half of the school year - there is much to celebrate!
Last week, amongst Blaze Ways Assemblies and 100th Day of School Parades, we wrapped up our middle of the year Curriculum Planning Days with our educator teams. Upper grades had an opportunity to meet with content teams while primary grades met with their grade levels to align standards based rubrics across the school, analyze middle of the year data, and prepare for the remainder of the year. Teams are already busy putting their hard work into practice this week! Look for an updated rubric with feedback coming home with your child within the next few weeks!
The professional learning continued on Friday during which we spent time unpacking and re-committing to strategies to support the progress of the student experience through the Cultivate survey, geared up for our next round of Electives for WIN, and continued to dive in to the assessment scope and sequence of foundational skills both in Monolingual and Dual Language Classrooms. Wow - what an incredible day of learning that will continue to support your child!
Cultural Spirit Week is quickly approaching! Please read the information carefully below to engage in a weeklong celebration of the rich diversity we have here at Bateman. We hope to see you at International Night as it makes its first come back since 2019!
We hope your week is filled with an extra hug in celebration of Valentine's Day!
Warm Regards,
Ms. Davos & Ms. Kloepper
Last week was Counselors Week! We celebrated our caring counselor, Ms. Rivera, and will continue to do so each day! We are grateful for all she does to empower our students!
