The Road to Success is Always Under Construction
Weekly Update 11/12/23
Greetings Families,
Thank you to everyone who has sent a Veteran's Day pennant for us to put on display. We appreciate the sacrifice that both our veterans and their families have made for us to ensure that we get to continue to have the freedoms in our great country!
If your child has Leadership Club on Mondays after school please pick them up in the back of the building. I spoke with Mr. Pickens and we will do our best to be sure the cones are moved so that you can drive to the back without any problems. Thank you for your patience as we worked out this kink in pick-up for our LC kids!
We are looking forward to our Thanksgiving Family Lunch this Thursday. A modified lunch schedule was sent out on Friday. This will help accommodate our many visitors that will be joining us. Please be sure to get a visitor sticker upon entering the building.
PTO is having a fundraiser this Thursday as well. It's $2 Free Dress Day. Students are allowed to be out of uniform for $2. This is NOT a pajama day, but a time when students can wear jeans and appropriate shirts of their choosing. All proceeds will go to our fabulous PTO!
Early Release on Friday @ NOON! I know our last early release was at 11:30, but we need to adjust our time to Noon. For the remainder of the school year our early release days will be at NOON.
Students will be given a sack lunch on Friday if they want one. If you have plans after early pickup please let your child know so that they don't waste a sack lunch. We will go around Friday morning to do a lunch count and ask what type of milk they want. Be sure your child knows if you want to them to go ahead and eat at school before early dismissal or not.

Foster Gratitude
Fostering gratitude in children is important to help them develop a positive outlook on life and appreciate the good things they have. Parents can foster gratitude in their children by modeling gratitude themselves, encouraging them to identify and appreciate the good things in their life, and teaching them to express gratitude through words and actions. Parents can also encourage their children to help others and give back to the community, which can help them develop a sense of empathy and gratitude for what they have. By fostering gratitude in their children, parents can help them grow into happy, compassionate and well-rounded adults.
The Jacket Swap has concluded. Thank you to everyone who donated a jacket. Donated jackets have been distributed.
