Happy Friday Raptor Families,

What a great week. January has flown by. Parent-teacher conferences are fast approaching. The dates are February 13th and 15th. Please watch for information from your teachers this coming week.


We have our final Girls Basketball games tomorrow, Saturday, January 27th. We are hosting both games versus Aspen Ridge at Thunder Valley starting at 10:00am. Please use door number two to enter for the game.


We have a PTA meeting on Wednesday, January 31st, starting at 5:30pm. This is a great way to get involved with supporting our students and staff.

Late Starts for the School Year:

February 7th, March 6th, April 3rd, May 1st


School starts at 11:05am, the earliest students can be dropped off is 10:50am. Buses pick up 2.5 hours later than their normal pick up time.

Mid Year iPad Insurance


If you didn't opt- in to iPad insurance in the beginning of the school year, you can still do so for the second half of the year. The cost is $12.50. Have your student see Mr. Elwood. Payment can be made in the office with cash or check or online through Infinite Campus after your student has checked in with Mr. Elwood.

Celebrate your child’s birthday by joining the Birthday Book Club and donating a book to the school library in their name! Each child who participates will have their name inscribed on a bookplate on the front endpaper of the donated book. We will take a picture of the birthday child holding their donated book and they will get the first chance to check it out.

Lost and Found

The Lost and Found is filling up. Please make sure to have your students check it for any lost jackets, sweatshirts, lunch boxes or water bottles. Anything remaining after 2/15 will be donated.

5210+ Healthy Kids Challenge

The Healthy Kids 5210+ Challenge is a FREE month- long program during February where students, school staff and families learn to practice the 5210+ healthy habits every day. Please see the attached flyer for more details.

Attendance

Parents/guardians shall be required to furnish an explanation for student absenteeism either in writing or orally. Absences not explained within two days after returning to school shall be recorded as unexcused absences unless unusual or extenuating circumstances exist as determined by the building administrator. After 10 excused or unexcused absences a doctors note is required. Communication is key to successful attendance.
