Congratulations to all our fourth graders who took part in last Saturday's Grades 4-12 Choralfest Concert. It is a great tradition to bring together so many performers to showcase their talents.

This Friday all fourth graders in the district visited the CHS Performing Arts Center where the Parker Middle School performing arts students joined music staff members for an introduction and information presentation on middle school options for performing arts for all our fourth graders. It is grade to see our 5th graders and former Byam students perform in their ensembles.

Second graders did a fantastic job bringing donations for their 2nd grade Wish Project ~ great job second graders!

Students can continue to access IReady Reading and Math lessons at home. Reminder, in order to consistently allow your child to be matched appropriately with lessons, students are not to be given any assistance from family members when doing IReady at home. Just remind your child to do their best and not rush.

How can my child access iReady from home?

-In drop down, click CLEVER PORTAL

-Your child will log on the same way they log on to the computer at school. If your child does not know his/her log-in information, please email his/her teacher for help accessing this information.

On the week of February, we will be conducting our mid-year ALICE drill. As we do before each drill, we preview our procedures with students and than conduct a debrief session with each classroom. We will communicate with you once we have held our drill. Please feel free to reach out with any questions.

Do you find yourself wondering if your child's worries are a typical part of child development or maybe something more? Are you unsure of how to manage or respond to these worries. Join us for this interactive presentation with our clinical psychologist, Dr. Jacki Reinert titled "The Power of Yet" on March 19 at 6:30. We will provide further details when we return from break.

Byam student artist have a lot to be proud of! During the month of March, several students will be having their artwork displayed in the Chelmsford Public Library along with artwork from other K-12 students from Chelmsford.

The “Grand Opening” of the Chelmsford Library exhibit will take place on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 between 5:00-6:00 p.m. at the Chelmsford Public Library. Art teachers from all Chelmsford schools will be there to meet and congratulate the aritsts, and refreshments will be provided.

In addition, 8 other Byam students have also been selected to have their artwork included in the MAEA Virtual Youth Art Month Exhibition, along with art from across the entire state of Massachusetts!

The artwork from BOTH shows will also be displayed on a special bulletin board during the Byam School Art Show on May 9th. Congratulations to all artists on these outstanding accomplishments!
