High School Students...
If you want to make a change, you have to come to your appointment with a plan!
High school students can request changes to their timetables by making an appointment to do so. There are a number of different factors in changing your courses. Your appointment will only be 10 minutes long so you must come to the appointment with a plan.
Be prepared to talk about the following items:
1. Are you requesting to challenge a course that you do not have a teacher recommendation for? You will need to come with a Placement Appeal Form filled out.
Students will be placed in classes based on teacher recommendation and the criteria that are listed here in this Google Form. Students wishing to take courses at a level at which they have not met the prerequisite and/or recommended grade must complete a Google form by clicking on this “Placement Appeal Form” link. This is to ensure that you are ready to challenge the next course level.
2. Do you have a full timetable?
All grade 10 and 11 students must carry a full course load of 40 credits, you will not have spares. All grade 12 students must carry a 30 credit course load and may request a spare. Spares will only be granted if you are in line for graduation in June 2022.
3. Which courses do you want and how would they fit in your schedule?
Use the Semester 1 and Semester 2 schedules below to plan your courses/timetable for the year. Bring this completed plan with you to your appointment.
