A Note From Mrs. Solomon

We have some new improvements to Wild Rose. Thank you PTO and Michelle Koehneke for your hard work and funding to improve our Allison Learning Center Entry! It is so inviting, kids love it, and thank you Mr. Drew and Mrs. Tykal for the vision!! It is truly awesome! See the pictures below!

For Our Open House next week you will be given a BINGO card to make your way around the building and experience all things Wild Rose! Your panther(s) can show you all the wonderful things or you can do it on your own, whatever works for your family. We ask that people limit bringing strollers if possible as our building has many stairs and the hallways will be busy and narrow. Should you need assistance or need to bring a stroller it is best to enter our building on the east side door 22, our staff would be happy to assist.

Enjoy this beautiful weekend! No school on Monday for the Labor Day Holiday! We will see all of our panthers on Tuesday, September 5th!

SAVE THE DATE - OPEN HOUSE

OPEN HOUSE will be held on Thursday, September 7th. In order to assist us with crowd control and parking, we will have families with last names beginning with A-L join us from 5:30- 6:05 and families with last names beginning with M-Z join us from 6:25-7:00.

Permission to Walk Home

Families,

If you allow your child to walk home independently of an adult, please let us know so that we can create a tag for your child. There are times where we have different staff on duty and it is helpful if we have a symbol/tag to see for confirmation of safety.

If you allow your child to walk home independently of an adult please email their teacher and Mrs. Flanigan sharon.flanigan@d303.org to let us know and then we would have that on file, that would be greatly appreciated.

Required Forms for Kindergarten Students

The State of Illinois requires all kindergarten and new students entering Illinois schools to submit a health physical, a record of mandated childhood immunizations, proof of a dental evaluation and a complete vision examination by a physician or a licensed optometrist. Students who do not provide a physical and immunizations by September 8, 2023 may face exclusion until the necessary paperwork is acquired. If you have any questions, please call the Health Office at 331 228 3004.

All 2nd graders are required to submit a dental exam form by May 1, 2024.

Band Gear!!!

Hello, 5th Grade Band Families,

A great way to show you are part of the 5th grade band---SPIRIT WEAR! We will wear spirit wear to various in school performances and to the Cougars baseball game in May. If you are interested in ordering Band Spirit wear please see attached pdf. The order window closes September 15 this will be the only order of the year. Please plan accordingly.
