Due to extenuating circumstances, Mrs. Rathwell's leave will be extended.

Mrs. Johnson and Mrs. Simonson will continue as Co-Principals until further notice.

Mrs. Ewing will continue teaching Mrs. Rathwell and Mrs. Johnson's classes until Mrs. Rathwell's return.

Stacey has impacted so many lives during her time at Bashaw School. Not only the lives of students, but also the lives of families and staff. She leaves a beautiful imprint of hope on all our lives.

Stacey, we wish you a GAZILLION wishes - of joy, peace and continued success as you embark on your new adventure!

Dear families,

As my time in Bashaw as the Family School Liaison Worker draws to a close, I want to express my sincere appreciation to the school and to the community for the last five years at Bashaw School. I have been honored and blessed to work alongside incredible staff and am so grateful to have worked with the students and families in our school community. My new role as Program Manager with BRSD's Mental Health Capacity Building Program will allow me to continue to find creative ways to serve our school's to enhance student mental health with a continued focus on social emotional learning.

My journey at Bashaw school is filled with many beautiful memories and I will miss the smiles, the hugs and the heart that continues to shine through so brightly each and every day. May each of you be proud of the person you are and the difference you make.

Did you know that Battle River School Division is looking for casual/substitute Educational Assistants? If you are interested, please apply on the BRSD website under Careers. You are able to choose the schools you are willing to work at!

Did you know that it can be a challenge to find buses and bus drivers?

Teachers and coaches plan far in advance to secure buses and drivers for events. Bus drivers are in demand. Check out the BRSD website under Careers for more details.

Wondering how you can pay for your child's purchases at the Scholastic Book Fair? You can pay with Credit Cards, Debit, Cash and Cheques!

Did you know - our students don't go unnoticed when representing the school with bus drivers, other parents and teachers, game officials, etc? They are constantly commended on their manners, attitudes, kindness and just plain ol' niceness!

So, to our students, and to you, as parents, we say - BRAVO! And THANK YOU!

Did you know the Bashaw Youth Foundation and Bashaw Community Resource Centre in partnership with Bashaw United Church are hosting a free lunch for all Grade 7-12 students from now until the end of the school year on Fridays?

On Monday, April 17 a Permission Form will be emailed to all families with students in Grades 7-12. If you're interested in your child(ren) attending this community building event, please fill out the form. Students will be required to have permission to attend.

As per an email that was sent to all families on March 3, we want to let you know Rachel and Danny, from The Open Doors in Camrose, will continue to visit our school at lunch on Wednesdays from now through the end of the school year. They will alternate setting up their booth in the Open Air in the Secondary wing, and in the Main Foyer. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to the school.

We are pleased to announce that our students will enjoy the award winning musical theatre production of Jack and the Beanstalk performed by Alberta Musical Theatre Company! Our students are sure to love it!

Our Sr. High Drama class will be presenting an entertaining version of Aladdin Jr.!

Tickets will be available at the school. Make sure to get yours early! You don't want to miss it!

Active, hungry, thirsty kids! Now that our students get to be outside more, and are generally just more active, please remember to pack adequate snacks and water bottles to get them through their day!

On Monday, April 24 from 6 - 7:30 p.m. there is an important meeting for parents of students in Grade 9 to discuss the transition into High School. We encourage all Grade 9 parents and students to come.
