Progress Reports
Reports for grades 4-8 will be posted to the portal today. We ask you to please keep in mind that we still have new lessons to teach and work to accomplish. We hope you will support us in encouraging the children to keep studying and to continue to make their school work a priority.
Band/Chorus Concert
Our Band/Chorus concert is this Thursday, May 11th at 6:30pm in the FAW gym. Band and Chorus members should report to the school by 6:00pm in black bottoms/white top concert attire. Our 3rd grade and 5th grade performances will also be included in the concert repertoire. Please contact Ms. Etter or Mrs. Cacko respectively with any questions.
Third graders will have their recorder debut during the concert on the FAW Stage. Mrs. Cacko will have music ready for the students. Third graders just need to arrive, wearing their Sunday best, to the FAW gym (where they will sit with their class) no later than 6:20pm. We can't wait for the 3rd graders to show off their recorder skills!
Fifth graders have also been invited to grace the stage with their recorders this year. Fifth graders should arrive, wearing their Sunday best, to the FAW gym (where they will sit with their class) no later than 6:20pm.
May 8th-12th: Pie and Dollars for DI
Destination Imagination is hosting a week of fun culminating in their Pie for DI along with their Dollars for DI event! Students can bring in their coins/cash to vote on the teachers that they want to see get a pie to the face this Friday, May 12th during an epic Pie for DI assembly! Fourteen staff members are ready to take their chances! Any teacher/staff member that collects $200 (or more) will get pie'd! Students can also purchase raffle tickets ($1/each) to try to win the chance of throwing a pie in their teacher's face! Money can be brought in any day this week.
This Friday, May 12th, during Dollars for DI, students will get a chance to buy treats and goodies during lunch for our special Dollars for DI day! Students can also buy chances at some fun brain games during recess. All treats and games are $1/each. We are looking forward to culminating our week in a big way with Pie for DI and our Dollars for DI! The Destination Imagination Global Finals teams thank you very much!
Sincerely,
The DItermined (Fuzz) Wonders and the Things

Destination Imagination Global Finals 2023!
We are excited to announce that two of our Destination Imagination (DI) teams from Father Andrew White School are two of the top-scoring DI teams in the state of Maryland and now have the opportunity to present their Challenge solution at the DI Global Finals in Kansas City, Missouri —an international competition where they will compete against teams from around the globe.
Please consider donating to help these teams get to the Globals competition!! Destination Imagination is an educational, academic program that has helped our students learn and practice valuable skills like creative and critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork through different competitive, STEAM-based (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics) Challenges.
The teams are working hard to raise the $5,500/team registration fee plus the almost $1,000/student it will take to get them there to experience this amazing opportunity! Raising $20K in only one month’s time is daunting, but they are DItermined!!! Every gift is a blessing and we truly appreciate your support! Thank you so much for your contributions.
