Letter from the Principal
Dear Lions Park Families,
We have been so fortunate to have such a beautiful September! I am glad our students have had so many opportunities at school to get outside and enjoy the gorgeous weather at recess, PE and other times. I hope your families are able to do something fun outside this weekend.
Now that the year is underway, students may have more homework than they had during the first weeks of school or last year. If homework time is a struggle at your house, this article, may provide some helpful suggestions. We do not want homework to be the major source of stress for your family. If you have tried some things at home to improve the situation and things are still not going well, reach out to your child’s teacher for help. He or she is unable to fix a problem they aren’t aware that your child is having.
We know children love their pets and are proud of them, but some students have allergies to or fear of animals. When coming to drop off or pick up your child at school, please do not bring pets on schools grounds. If you want to walk your child to school with the family dog, please wait across the street and allow your child to cross with our crossing guards.
As was shared earlier, students may Zoom in only when they are required to quarantine due to symptoms of Covid or exposure. Once students are cleared to return to school, they will no longer be eligible for Zooming in. If they still feel too unwell to come to school, they can rest at home off Zoom until they feel well enough to learn at school.
As always, please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns.
Warmly,
Katie Kelly
Principal
