Weekly Inspiration
Martin Luther King, Jr.
In recognition of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., the motivation this week is all from him. Please take some time to enjoy a few quotes from MLK.
"Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter."
"We must use time creatively, in the knowledge that the time is always right to do right."
"Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that."
"Let no man pull you so low as to hate him."
"If you can't fly then run. If you can't run then walk. If you can't walk then crawl. But whatever you do you have to keep moving foward."
"One day we will learn that the heart can never be totally right when the head is totally wrong."
"If I cannot do great things, I can do small things in a great way."
"We must accept finite dissapointment, but never lose infinite hope."
I hope you find some inspiration in Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. this week!

Danielle Grehn's Early Childhood Education Student
Patiance Innis
As part of her Early Childhood Education class, Patience is helping in Mrs. Freeman's class at the Homecroft Kindergarten Academy. The unique thing about this placement is that Mrs. Freeman was Patiance's kindergarten teacher and now she is her student assistant. Mrs. Freeman says that "Patiance is a lovely girl and does really well with the children".
Christine Posadas' Spanish 5/6 Students
The students in Mrs. Posadas' Spanish 5/6 class are reading a story that included a character who is blind. In order to practice their Spanish skills and to truly understand the perspective of the character, the students were blindfolded and their classmates had to direct them around the school using only Spanish.
