Good Morning E.L.M. Families,

Happy Friday! I hope everyone has enjoyed your February break. We will have some fresh snow to play in this coming week, so please remind your student to bring all of their winter gear to school. Thank you.

* The March menus are attached below. We will send home paper copies on Monday.

* Help Wanted - We are still in need of a new school bus monitor. Please contact my office if you or someone you know may be interested. This position is available immediately. Thank you.

* Anyone interested in registering or changing their registration for the Aftercare Program may do so at this time. The third trimester begins next week. Please contact Miss Anderson with any changes or a new registration. Her email is eanderson@savoyelementary.com.

* The North Berkshire EMS will be hosting a Parent Presentation here at Emma Miller School on Tuesday, March 1st at 3:00pm. Please see the attached flyer for more information.

* Please take note that while we are going to a "Mask Optional" protocol, students will still need to continue wearing a mask on the school bus. Please remind your student(s) to have their masks handy for their bus rides. This is a federal mandate and not within our control.

* Savoy Residents: We are now registering new students for kindergarten & our PreK 4-year-old program for the 22-23 school year. Please contact the main office to schedule a time to complete the registration paperwork. Students already enrolled with us do not need to register. Students must be 4 or 5 years-old by August 31st to register. The cost for PreK for Savoy residents is $25 per week. If you know of someone that lives in Savoy, but not yet affiliated with the school, please feel free to pass this information along. Thank you.

* School choice openings for all grade levels next year have not yet been determined. It will likely be mid-late spring before we have determined how many seats will be available. If we do have open seats in our PreK program, the cost for school choice will be $100 per week. We will be happy to take names for a waitlist, but there are no guarantees.

Planning Ahead:

* The second trimester will end on Monday, March 7th. Report cards will go home on Monday, March 14th.

A Note from Nurse Jacquelyn:

* We will gladly support any student that wishes to continue wearing their mask while in school. A friendly reminder that masks are still required when visiting the nurse's office and during days 6-10 following a positive COVID test and quarantine.

* In the coming days we will transition to the At-Home testing protocol and forgo the Test & Stay protocol. Families will need to "opt-in" in order to participate. We will also continue to use the symptomatic testing protocol as needed. We will send home information once we have received everything needed to implement it.
