ParentSquare
We are excited to announce that our school district has adopted a new form of school-to-home communication called ParentSquare. This unified communications platform is designed to keep parents and guardians informed and encourage greater engagement and connection with your child’s school and Gwinnett County Public Schools.
ParentSquare provides a safe way for district administrators, school principals, teachers, staff, and parents to receive and send information, such as:
- Weather-related closings & delays
- School and class information
- Share pictures and files
- See calendar items
- Upcoming class activities
Beginning July 18, 2023, district and school information will now be sent to your computer or phone via email and/or text via ParentSquare. For even more convenience, download the ParentSquare app (available for free for iOS and Android devices). Please note that some schools and teachers may still use other district-approved tools for the 2023-2024 school year to communicate with their families.
GCPS has created ParentSquare Resources and Help Documents and can be found on the GCPS website under Students and Families.
If you received our notification about ParentSquare and you have questions about confirming your account access, please send an email to PSQHelp@gcpsk12.org.
Parents please be patient as the district, school, and teachers learn this new program.
MAP Testing
9th and 10th graders will be taking MAP testing on August 22-23. We will have an alternate bell schedule for all students these days to accommodate testing. Students who are testing will need to bring their Chromebooks (fully charged) and headphone if they have them.
Attendance Update for 2023-2024

Cafeteria News
Due to the expiration of USDA waivers, student meals will now be charged based on individual student eligibility. Breakfast cost $1.50; lunch cost $2.50. Therefore, families need to complete the Free and Reduced Meal Application in order to qualify for Free or Reduced-Prices meal benefits as soon as possible. Confirmed eligibility for free & reduced-price meals ensures access to many benefits beyond school meals such as free SAT/ACTs, free college application, and additional technology for schools. We encourage every family to complete the Free and Reduced Meal Application as your eligibility does not automatically transfer each year. Check the status of your application here. The reduced costs are also free this year for breakfast and lunch.
