Hawk Happenings
Holy Rosary Bilingual Academy
Happy Wednesday!
I have two really good pieces of news for you. First, we are back to a regular schedule tomorrow with morning Extended Care beginning at 6:30 am and school beginning at 8 am, as well as regular drop off for Pre-K in the front and K-8 drop-off in the back. The second piece of good news is that you are done with my daily newsletters for a while (after this one)! :). I am hopeful that we will be ok with the weather through Friday. There is another round of snow expected late Friday and Saturday and then again on Monday (potentially). Hopefully, we won’t have too much of an interrupted schedule next week since we already have no school for the students on Friday, Feb. 15th (Archdiocesan Retreat Day); Monday, Feb. 18th and Tuesday, Feb. 19th (President’s Day Break). Please be very careful driving in the morning and arrive late if you need to. Apparently, the entire City of Tacoma is out of rock salt, so we are using bags of play sand around the campus to combat the ice. While we do our best, we may miss a spot so be careful walking in the parking lot and on the sidewalks.
Thank you to all who have re-registered for next year. Remember, some classes will end up being wait-listed due to size restrictions so don’t lose your spot. Re-register by Feb. 24th to keep your space! Contact us at office@holyrosarybilingual.org if you need help!
Stay warm and have a wonderful night!!
Blessings,
Katie Dempsey
The Gala is Almost Here! Feb. 23rd!!
Playa Bonita Beach, Las Terrenas, Dominican Republic
Socks of Love!
- Pick up a pair of brand new socks (or several pairs)
- Purchase a few small toiletry items such as travel size, toothbrush/paste, deodorant, a brush, granola bars, or any other item you choose.
- Roll one sock in a ball, place it in the foot of the other sock, add the travel size items/snacks, and put a rubber band or a little ribbon on the top to hold everything together. (See the photo below for an example)
We have a bin for these on the first floor near the office. If you want to donate one or more of these, just send them in with your student or drop them in the bin near the office. Thank you for supporting this worthy cause. Nothing feels better than a clean, warm pair of socks! Please turn them in by next Thursday, Feb. 14th.
Auction Procurement Deadline EXTENDED to Feb. 11th!
$100 Auction Family Commitments are now due February 11, 2019!
We have extended the auction deadline. As noted on the Financial Agreement, each Holy Rosary family is required to contribute to the annual Auction (formerly Crab Feed). We will accept donations equal to or greater than $100 in value in the form of cash or check, gift cards to local restaurants, businesses, sporting events, or places of interest. Families may also provide vouchers for goods and services such as catering, lawn maintenance, baked goods, etc. Check out Costco for great deals on gift cards! Remember, if the item or payment is not received by February 11, families will be invoiced $150. You can easily pay your $100 fee online, please see the following link:
https://hrba.ejoinme.org/Auction2019Procurement
At this time, we will not be accepting anymore Pacific Grill gift cards for the auction, as we have received so many already.
***Items are subject to procurement committee approval.***
It is important to note that we will not be accepting previously used items as part of our event; this process allows us to make better use of our resources to ensure our event is a success. We thank you in advance for your cooperation and continued support.
