Principal's Message
Dear Lincoln Families,
We are now into our third trimester and students in 3-6 grade are getting ready for State Testing. Students will be taking the Smarter Balanced (SBAC) starting the week of April 11. Smarter Balanced is a computerized assessment designed to align with the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) that have been adopted by the state of California. The students will be tested in Language Arts and Math. Students in 5th grade will also be taking the Science Assessment. A testing flyer was provided to families which includes testing information, testing days, and helpful tips. Please continue reading below to see a copy of the flyer. In addition, students will be given stickers the day before each testing day. Please encourage your child/children to do their best on the test!
Thank you for your continued support. Your actions, and our collective efforts, are making a difference.
Together Everyone Achieves More #TEAM
Dream Big, Work Hard, Make it Happen!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Perry

Emergency Drills
We hold drills throughout the year (Earthquake, Fire, Lockdown, Cardiac Emergency) to review what steps we should take in the event of an actual emergency. We ask parents to support us by:
updating contact phone numbers on file with the office.
waiting for an emergency text message regarding either the continuation of the school day or the need for pick up after an emergency at school (North Sultana Gate)
not calling the office after a large emergency as we will most likely be outdoors or not answering phones during or directly following an emergency.
Lincoln Poets Take Top Spots
Our school community continues to shine as we spotlight students excelling for their exceptional effort, creativity and prowess across a number of areas. We had two Lincoln Leopards dominate standings taking the top spots in their respective groups in our OMSD Poetry showcase.
Thank you to Mrs. Baik for coordinating our entries this year. We’re so proud to celebrate their hard work and creativity!
Congratulations to Ashley Vasquez and Larry Ramirez Romero for representing Lincoln! Ashley won 1st place in the category of Cinquain and Larry won 2nd place in the category of Rhyming.
