I hope that you are enjoying your Labor Day Weekend. If you are traveling, I wish you a safe return. Tomorrow, September 6th is a Remote Learning Day for students and a Professional Development Day for teachers and staff.

On Tuesday, September 6th, students will complete their schoolwork asynchronously, at their own pace. Teachers have provided assignments by passing out worksheets and posting lessons in TEAMS. Please have your child look for instructions from their teachers by logging into their FCS (Fulton County Schools) email and class TEAMS. The Dads Club helps with Bus Driver Appreciation Week in October by passing out donuts and coffee. They also help clean up around the grounds, the Youth Day Float building, and other projects.

Are you called to be a parent sponsor for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes? FCA is looking for parents to Co-Chair the club with teachers Mr. Billups and Mr. Mendy. Parent sponsors help to organize the speakers and to pick up Chick-fil-A biscuits for the early morning meetings. Parents from previous years would be happy to help guide the parents from this year. FCCLA meetings will be on the third Wednesday of each month at 8:00 am in the Family and Consumer Science Teacher (FACS) Ms. Chelsea Thomas' room (A-157). FCCLA Club will provide light baked goods will be provided for breakfast. If parents cannot bring students to school on the morning of a meeting, they can join as soon as they get to school. Student Council Club meets on the first and third Thursday of each month at 8:25 am in Ms. Megan Graves's classroom (D-103). All grades are invited to come to learn about being in the Student Council Club. Students do not need to be elected to be part of the club. The first Interact Club meeting will be on the first, and third Friday at 8:25 am in Ms. Celena Chapman's classroom (E-113). Interact is Rotary International's service club for young people ages 11-18. The Roswell Rotary club sponsors the Elkins Pointe Interact club. All students are welcome!

Jr. Beta Club will host an Interest Meeting on Tuesday, September 13th. All students and parents are invited to meet Ms. Young, the new Jr. Beta Chair. The first official meeting will be on the following Tuesday, September 20th. We are very excited about Jr. Beta Club starting up!

The first official Jr. Beta Meeting will occur in Ms. Natasha Young's classroom @ 8:25 am on September 20th. Jr. Beta will meet on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month.

The Yearbook Club will assemble the Elkins Pointe Yearbook. The club teacher sponsors are Ms. Alyssiah Vicente and Ms. Carly Freeman.

Come Out and Support the Titans! The 7th and 8th grade Co-Ed Soccer Team will be playing their first game of the Soccer season this week, on Friday, September 9th, at 5:30 pm. Come out to the Elkins Pointe field and route for the home team!

It is time for some Middle School Sports! We are finally ready to begin our Extramural activities for our 7th and 8th graders. We are incredibly excited to see our Titans back in action! As always, our Athletic Department will continue to provide safe, fair, and fun opportunities for our fans, staff, and student-athletes.

For the 2022-2023 school year, we will host a plethora of sports (in the order listed):

• Soccer (Co-ed): August 25 - October 7
• Volleyball (Boys and Girls): October 3 - November 16
• Tennis: Dates To be determined (TBD). Tennis Exhibition will be on October 22nd at the South Fulton Tennis Center.
• Gymnastics: November 7 - December 2 / Gymnastics/Tumbling Exhibition will be held on December 2nd at Ridgeview Middle School.
• Basketball (Boys and Girls): January 19 - March 8
• Cheerleading Club: During the basketball season
• Track: Dates are still in development

**Dates represent the length of the season from FIRST practice until the last game.

To participate in tryouts and practice, there are a few forms that will need to be completed and returned beforehand:

1. A valid physical form from a physician releasing the student to participate
2. Parent and transportation release forms
3. Concussion form
4. Insurance Verification Form (students must be covered by the family policy or the school-approved accident insurance policy)
5. Emergency Contact Form
