FJVD Weekly Info
We Live the Word!
From the Principal's Desk
Dear Father Doyle Families,
Wishing you all a wonderful February break! I pray the week ahead provides you and your family with an opportunity to rest, recover, and spend time together.
While school will be closed next week, there's still lots happening at Father Doyle! We will be continuing our resource room renovations over the break, preparations for the 2022 FJVD Strong Auction are in full swing, and March 1st will kick-off National Reading Month, including Weekly Evening Story Times (details below), our annual Read-a-thon and Reading Week (more details to come!).
Please be sure to review the additional details, information, and reminders below:
Order Your Catholic Schools Week T-Shirts Today!
During Catholic Schools Week, each student was asked to describe what Father Doyle School meant to them in a single word. With their answers, we created a 2022 Catholic Schools Week T-shirt to celebrate our school. See the design they created here.
You can order your own CSW 2022 t-shirts (which can also be used as a gym shirt, both this year and next year) by completing the order form sent home today, which can also be found here. Because this is a bulk order all student order forms must be in by March 2nd. (No Exceptions).
Father Doyle Evening Story Time is BACK!
March is National Reading Month, and Father Doyle School will be celebrating all month long!
Weekly Evening Story Time via Zoom
Get cozy and relax, then join us for Story Time on Zoom every Tuesday in March beginning at 7pm. Each week we will have a special guest from the FJVD family reading a story live for our PK-2nd grade students. Older students are welcome to join as well!
Sign up for any (or all!) Tuesday's you would like to attend, and a separate Zoom invite will be sent out for each night. Please sign up for the first night by February 28th by visiting bit.ly/FJVDStoryTime.

Reminder: Father Doyle School is a Peanut & Tree-Nut Free School
In accordance with the school's Parent-Student Handbook, Father Doyle is a peanut and tree-nut free school. With this in mind, please do not pack food for your child that contains peanuts or tree-nuts for lunch or snack. Thank you for your cooperation!
Lastly, 2nd grader Samuel Sosa was our Principal for the Day today. Mr. Sosa did a wonderful job! You can see a few photos from the day below. The Principal for a Day package is auctioned off each year at our FJVD Strong Auction. We hope you'll consider bidding for this unique experience at this year's auction!
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend. God bless, and Go Saints!
Sincerely,
Mr. Peloquin

Aluminum Can Tab Collection
What: Aluminum can tabs are being collected
Why: To support the Ronald McDonald House in Providence
How can you help? Save can tabs and send them in to Mr. Godin’s room.
Bottle Cap Drive
We’re excited to share that our school is part of the Coca-Cola Give program. This provides new funding opportunities to help improve learning environments for students. The best part? Donations don’t come out of your own pocket. When you make Coca-Cola purchases, you simply send in bottle caps or product codes from boxes of beverages and our school receives a donation.
All caps and codes should be sent to Mr. Godin. Codes will be entered on one account to gain larger and quicker donations.
Thank you!
