A Letter from Principal Stewart
Dear Centennial Families,
It seems that each year the days fly by faster and faster! It's hard to believe that we are closing out our first semester of the 22-23 school year.
I would like to thank our parents for their overwhelming display of support and graciousness that they have shown the staff during the month of December. Volunteering, donating, feeding us, substituting, the list is so long! As a community you have stepped up in an unmeasurable way.
This month we received 164 "staff shout outs". I read each of these emails. Thank you, to those that sent a note of appreciation to the staff members who have been difference makers in the lives of their children. While it is my job to hire the best, the parents of Centennial certainly do their part to show our dedicated educators that they are valued and appreciated. For that I am so very grateful. I am continually amazed at the power of our partnership. I am convinced that together, there isn’t anything we can’t accomplish.
Speaking of our staff...I am so grateful for their unwavering commitment to providing an excellent education for all of our students. They continue to work tirelessly to see that the needs of each student are met. Visitors continually comment on how welcoming and warm our staff is. They are truly happy to be at Centennial and it shows! This holiday break, it is my hope that they rest, relax, and rejuvenate.
None of us would be here if it wasn't for the students that we serve. It is the love of learning and excitement that we share with our students that continually drive us. Our students remind us daily of our calling and fill our lives with purpose. We continue to be grateful that our students are healthy and back with us at school.
Our society learned many things during the pandemic. For me, as a parent and an educator, I was reminded of the power of a community-particularly a school community. While there are no perfect schools, I firmly believe that Centennial is a special place. As a school community we place ALL students at the heart of our decisions. We believe that quality public education is the foundation of a thriving community and we are dedicated to the growth and achievement of each and every student and staff member.
From our school family to yours, the Centennial staff and I wish you and your family a wonderful holiday! We look forward to seeing you all in the year 2023!
Much love and sincere gratitude,
Sara Stewart
