The Panther's Growl
Dear Collegiate Family:
It is hard to believe that we have completed the first nine weeks! As we settle into the second nine weeks, I am asking you to partner with us to ensure your scholar has the best opportunity to succeed.
Below are some suggestions:
- Help your scholar get organized. That could mean getting a planner to write down assignments. This is something they are encouraged to do in their 9th grade MAPS class.
- Have your scholar provide you a copy of the syllabus from their college class. The professors will speak directly to the students only because the class is treated as a true college class. We do, in turn, teach the students how to communicate with the professors.
- Each week, check PowerSchool to see what their high school grades are. If there are any unsatisfactory grades, reach out to the teachers and arrange tutoring. For the college class, the scholars can show you their grades. If there are grades that are unsatisfactory, you can help your student contact the professor based on the information from the syllabus. Anything red on the grade page indicates a grade lower than 70.
- Attend the monthly meetings. We discuss how to support students, how to access the different platforms, and how to make sure your student is successful in our program.
I am looking forward to sharing in the celebration of your scholar’s success!
Sincerely,
Ms. Jefferson

UNIFORMS
UNIFORM Requirements
Please make sure students are adhering to the dress code for each day of the week. Note that the only day the polo shirt is an option is on Monday. The bottom for any and all uniform days is either black or khaki pants or a skirt. Students continuing to be out of dress code will have disciplinary consequences.
