Homecoming Week
Hello, Crossroads Families! I think our summer weather is gone like the wind....and our fall weather has arrived. That means sweatshirts and true football weather....and we are here for it! It's time to put away the short sleeves and shorts and get out the jeans and the Spartan hoodies! Next week is our Homecoming week which means we have dress up days each day. It is also our last week of our Can Drive for our Senior Meals on Wheels collection. Please keep sending in non-perishables with your middle schooler. The winning team will be the lucky recipient of a pancake breakfast! Have a great weekend! We look forward to all of the great mustaches Monday morning, whether they are hand drawn or stickers. If your middle schooler happens to forget theirs, we may have a few extras in the office! Have a great weekend!
GO WILDCATS!

Strive for Five 2.0
Every Day Counts! Students who miss school, miss out. Strive for Less than 5 days absent this school year!
The Kent ISD's 'Strive for Less Than 5' campaign is aimed at helping students and the community succeed by reducing chronic absenteeism. The campaign engages students from pre-K - 12th grade and their parents to commit to the first step in school success - regular attendance.

Chromebook Reminder
Students are asked to please remember to have Chromebooks charged and ready for class each day. If a student does not have a charger, replacement chargers are available for purchase in the IMC for $20. Please see Mrs. Hicks in the IMC to purchase one.
Student Device Insurance Plan
Northview Public Schools issues Chromebooks to all of its students. These devices are traditionally kept at school for grades DK -2; students in grades 3 through 12 often transport their Chromebooks to and from school.
As we roll out these devices, we have encountered issues with breakage, loss, theft, damage, etc. Because we do not want to pass excessive costs back to parents, Northview partners with an insurance company to provide parents with peace of mind for devices that are under their responsibility.
We are happy to announce that we are working with School Device Coverage, who has been in the Chromebook insurance business for 9 years and as a company for 34 years. It insures some of the largest districts in the nation as well as individual small schools. We have negotiated an annual cost of $26 and want you to be aware of this optional insurance package.
We will have an open enrollment period from Sept. 5th to October 21st
To learn more about the details of this, please read our FAQ document to get started.
Northview Bucks
Did you know that staff recognizes students that demonstrate Responsibility, Respect and Positive Behaviors by gifting them with "Northview Bucks"? Students can enter their Bucks earned into our weekly drawings. Multiple winners are chosen randomly each week and the students can choose an item from our prize box.
Donations are needed to help fill our prize box! The front office is looking for small prize items (candy, gatorades, gum, fun pens, locker magnets, etc) and $5 gift card donations to various businesses along Plainfield Avenue. If you would be willing to donate to our program - please send in your donations to Mrs. Swayze in the front office.
Thank you!
