Catholic School's Week is here!
This coming week is Catholic School's Week. Each day, our hope is that we can help the children in this school grow with purpose and conviction. Our pillars of growth are worship, learning, and service. There is no magic formula in education, every child is different. We celebrate that, because that is the intention of God's design. We take into account that God has a plan for each and every child and adult in this building. A day is made up of 86,400 seconds and students are in school for 28,800 seconds. The mission of school is manifested in how we use those 28,800 seconds.
This year our theme for the year is God's Work, Our Hands, but it just as easily could be God's Hands, God's Work. You see, we are God's Hands and we are God's Work. We belong and the work we do belongs to Him. As we close out the month focusing on the virtue of loyalty, I can't help but recognize the importance of our school being faithful to God's plan for His children. He wants them to know Him, love Him and serve Him. If we can help them live that life, well then the results of our mission are 28,800 seconds of God's work in our hands. Happy Catholic School's Week! Come and celebrate with us on Sunday from 9:00 am - 11:00 am for our Open House. All are welcome!

Virtue of the Month
Loyalty - Accepting the bonds implicit in relationships and defending the virtues upheld by Church, family, and country.
St. Bail and St. Gregory of Nazianzen lived in the 4th century and were great friends. They started a monastery together and remained friends. Gregory asked Basil to take on a very difficult assignment. Basil was very reluctant, but because of his loyalty to his friend, he took on the assignment and became the Bishop of Sasima. Later becoming Archbishop of Constantinople and Doctor of the Church.
The story is adapted from An Educator's Guide to living a Virtuous Life
Prayer.. Dear Jesus, Help me to be steadfast in my relationships and faithful to the duties those relationships entail, even when this may be difficult.

Monthly Children's Mass
Dear St. Charles Borromeo School Families,
We are excited to announce a heartwarming initiative to strengthen our school community's
spiritual bond - the Monthly Children's Mass! Beginning this Sunday, January 28th, at 11
a.m., our fifth-grade students will be hosting Mass at St. Charles Borromeo Parish. By actively
participating in the various parts of the Mass (Liturgy of the Word, Liturgy of the Eucharist) our
students will experience firsthand the sacredness of the Mass. Each month will be hosted by a
different grade. We invite all families to attend this inaugural Children’s Mass and show your
support as our children deepen their understanding of our faith. Let’s come together as a school
family to celebrate faith, love, and unity. We look forward to seeing you there!
