NTZB Parent Bulletin
November 13, 2021
PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Hello New Tech Families,
This is truly the time of year we find ourselves busy with school, work and personal tasks that can become overwhelming. Another grade period is approaching, the weather is turning colder, and the holiday season is right around the corner. But I also find this is the perfect time of year to reflect, focus on personal wellness and be “thankful” for the wonders of life! Everyday I have the opportunity to spend my time at New Tech with awesome students and staff and am inspired when I see our school community working together to create a positive learning environment for all-striving to meet the needs of our young people and community.
I encourage parents to continue to communicate with their children about their school experience and grades and reach out to me and/or our staff with questions, concerns, or comments! Many new and exciting things happening at New Tech are highlighted in this bulletin! Also, the SIP team has hosted several meetings this month and has been very busy reimagining New Tech. We look forward to sharing the Reimagination Plan and new opportunities for students next month as we recruit the class of 2026! I want to thank our students, parents and staff for the hard work and dedication all are putting forth this year. Together we will continue to build a strong school community. Finally, I hope all families will have the opportunity to connect and unwind over this upcoming school break and reflect on thankfulness. I wish all a safe, restful, and enjoyable holiday- Happy Thanksgiving!
In partnership,
Bonnie Felske
NOVEMBER: A MONTH OF KINDNESS
New Tech also implemented #thecomplimentproject and students have been enthusiastic about sharing compliments with their classmates. The idea is simple; take one and pass it along. The response has been fantastic and this bulletin board outside the cafeteria is typically stripped of all the tabs by the end of each day.
HELP SPREAD THE KINDNESS THROUGHOUT OUR COMMUNITY
New Tech's National Honor Society members are holding a Canned and Non-Perishable Food Drive that will support families in the Zion Community through a partnership with Our Shining Stars Foundation.
They are also accepting donations for the 2021 Annual Blanket Drive coordinated through The Penny's Purpose. Please consider supporting both of these initiatives and extending kindness to your neighbors and those in need throughout the community.
Please contact Ms. Biddle with questions at biddleM@ntzb.org.
