Welcome to our online newsletter. Here you'll be able to keep up to date with the happenings at Hathershaw. This newsletter includes key events of the fortnight, things to look out for in the upcoming weeks, and useful information for parents and carers.

• Thursday 26th January was mock results day for year 11. It was wonderful to see so many smiles on such a daunting day for students. We are proud of our student's resilience and determination. These results are a good indicator of how to prepare for the summer exams.

• We're delighted to have been awarded a National School Attendance Award, for the Autumn term. Placing us in the top 25% of schools nationally for attendance. We are proud to receive this award as we relentlessly strive to improve attendance whilst working in partnership with parents.

• A group of year 10 students took part in the regional Boccia championships this week. Hathershaw pupils came runners up in the competition and received silver medals, a trophy and certificates. They will now move onto the Northwest finals in Liverpool!
