As we come to the end of a very challenging term, I'd like to thank all those whānau / families who have allowed us into their homes and been the 'guide on the side' for their tamariki / children in their home learning.
I'd also like to thank our teachers, who have like many of you, managed their home lives and continued to provide online learning for their ākonga / learners. In the last few weeks there have been twelve staff on site, teaching on line and supporting the children at school. A big thank to them for taking on these dual roles.
My thoughts about what the announcement will be on Monday afternoon continue to range from a few more weeks at level 3 to an adjusted level 2 freedom. Whatever it may be, I'm very hopeful for a return to Term 4 at level 2.
Ngā mihi

Teacher Only Days CANCELLED
2021 Ag Day - Regardless of Levels
Again, we are unfortunately having to make changes to the way we have done things previously to meet the COVID 19 requirements. While we will be celebrating the work the children have done, we will not be having an onsite Ag Day as in previous years.
We are going to make use of the virtual world to share our gardens, dogs and small animals that have been registered for Ag Day. Information about how each team is doing this is listed in the information below.
Lambs, calves and chickens will come to school on Thursday 21 October. The organisation for this is also later in this newsletter.
Please continue to encourage your children to maintain their Ag Day diaries. These are to come to school by Friday 22 October.

2021 Ag Day Sharing Information
Purpose:
Students to share their gardens and animals with their peers
To acknowledge the hard work and perseverance students have shown over the last two terms with their entries
These will not be marked or judged
As we will also be submitting our Ag Day Diaries, there is no requirement for further written work
Please see below for specific details on how to share these in each team. These are due in to the classroom teacher by Friday 22 October.
Piwakawaka
In Piwakawaka Whānau, the Ag Day diary that has been completed at home, will need to be sent in. Please include a photo of the final garden or animal alongside this. The classroom teacher will help your child to share these with their peers the following week.
Tui
In Tui Whānau, the children can share their Ag Day Diaries. Please use the ‘Share’ option with your child’s teacher within Google Slides. If your child has completed a hard copy they can bring this with them to school.
Ruru
In Ruru Whānau classes will be sharing their Ag Day Diary with their peers. Please bring the diaries to school by Friday 22nd October. Children are asked to either bring a photos of their animal or garden to school, or email a photo to their classroom teacher to print for them.
