New: Eastview's Speech & Debate Program Ranked 3rd in the Nation
The National Speech and Debate Association (NSDA) has released its annual ranking of debate and speech programs in the country. Eastview High School ranked 3rd out of over 3,000 schools nationwide for the 2021-2022 school year (this is the second year in a row that Eastview has placed in the top three schools nationwide.) The NSDA ranks programs by assessing both the quantity and quality of speech and debate team members; Eastview HS ranks highly because it has one of the nation's largest debate and speech programs and its students are competitively successful.
In June 2022, Eastview was named a National School of Excellence in Speech at the NSDA National Speech and Debate Tournament in Louisville, Kentucky. This award, based only on competition results at the national tournament, placed Eastview in the Top 20 out of more than 1400 participating schools in speech.
Our in-district teacher coaches include:
Brady Beckman (speech)
Kelli Donais (speech)
Todd Hering (speech and debate)
Zac Holm (speech)
Zach Prax (speech and debate)
Greta Thomas (speech and debate)
Ryan Roseen (speech)
