Marysville Message
November 9th, 2023
Dear Marysville Families
We miss your students and can't wait to welcome everyone back for a better school year. We are hopeful, along with everyone, that PPS and the Portland Association of Teachers reach an agreement soon.
We recognize that this is a difficult time for everyone.
As we work through this holding on to collective care for all, please know that our two administrative assistants, Maya Novakoski, and Diana Christensen, along with Serene and I are here at school every day from 8am - 4pm. Please reach out if you have any questions or needs. Below you will find details about services that you can continue to access during this time. Some academic activities are posted on Seesaw every week.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out if we can help in any way,
Cathy Murray
Family Resources during a strike
Report cards for first quarter will be delayed. Once school is back in session and we have more information about report cards and parent - teacher conferences, we will share that with you.
Meals will continue to be served at Marysville during the strike. Any student in PPS, ages 1-18, may access free meals from any PPS school free of charge. Next week, free student meals will be available from 11:30am - 1pm on Tuesday - Thursday.
If you requested a chromebook for your student and would like to come pick it up, we have them available in the school office until 4:00 pm.
