Elementary Curriculum in KCS
English Language Arts (ELA)
We use SAVVAS MyView curriculum for grades K-5.
We do have actual books and we use them daily - they are workbooks with stories and
student's can write in them.
Students can also access their books on the ipads.
Teachers follow the College and Career Readiness Standards for WV. You can find those

You can find a list of all the books in the Reading program on schoology under resources.
We also use Success Maker for reading practice - this is not something that is typically done at
home.
Math
We use MyMath by McGraw Hill

Counselors in KCS use the Second Step program for developmental guidance lessons.
