1/03 School Resumes!! Happy New Year!!!

On Monday, 12/12, Running Brushy Middle School will be performing a concert for our school. This performance is scheduled for 10:45-11:15 which conflicts with some of our lunch times. Please note that on Monday, Kinder and 1st grade will be eating lunch at 10:00 to accommodate this conflict. 3rd Grade and 4th Grade lunches will be adjusted slightly as well. Both 3rd Grade and 4th Grade will go straight to lunch from the performance. The performance is expected to end around 11:15. Hot lunches will be served as opposed to a sack lunch.

Friday, 12/16 is a district scheduled early release day for all students. Elementary will dismiss at 11:30 and lunch will be served.

3rd, 4th, and 5th Grade Parents of Mustang Nation! We are excited to offer our first annual Spelling Bee to our 3rd, 4th and 5th Grade students. Participation is open to any 3rd, 4th or 5th grade student. If your child is interested in participating, please complete this form no later than 12/14/22. A word list along with more specific details of the event will be emailed no later than 12/16/22 The Spelling Bee will be held at Mason on 1/12/23 at 5:30pm.

Did you purchase your tickets to the Leander Educational Excellence Foundation's January 28, 2023 Gala & Auction? You still have time and all details can be found here: www.leeftx.org/gala. We hope you can join us to support Leander ISD students and staff for a "roaring" great time!

The Waves of Pages Reading Program encourages students to read for pleasure. Each student who reads for 10 hours (600 minutes) beyond what they're expected to do for class will earn a FREE admission to the waterpark (valid on regularly scheduled operating days from Saturday, April 29 through Friday, June 30, 2023) and include a special offer of discounted admission for family and friends. Paper reading logs were sent home on November 16th in Wednesday folders but you may print additional ones as necessary here. Completed logs may be turned into the library NO LATER than Friday, January 27. Tickets are expected to be delivered to campus NO LATER than Friday 4/28.

Food Program @ Mason

Mason has a food program for families! For interested families, weekend meal kits are sent home each Friday with students in bags the student can put in their backpacks. In addition, at-school snacks may also be provided. If you believe your student/family would benefit from the program, please fill out the form here. You can select weekend meal kits, snacks, or both. Please complete just one form for the family if you have multiple students at Mason, but please list all of their names on the form. Attendance Reminders

Our Official Attendance Time is 8:15. Please note, this is an adjustment in time from previous years.

Absences should be reported in one of two ways:

1) Attendance email: mason.leanderisd.org / campus info tab / attendance / report an absence

2) Send a note (or doctor's note) when your student returns.

While we appreciate a phone call notification, a hard copy is still required to properly code the attendance record.

*School Dismissal Manager is used for transportation purposes only and is not the acceptable way to report an absence.

Register for a HAC account to monitor grades, attendance, assignments. Also used to retrieve report cards and update information concerning your student.
