HELP WANTED FOR AFTERCARE NEXT SCHOOL YEAR
Immunization Requirements for School Entry and for Students Turning 11 Years of Age or entering 6th grade
Parents please be aware that the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals requires that students have a current immunization record or a letter of dissent from the parent/guardian on file for any child entering school. In addition, students who turn 11 years of age or those entering the 6th grade must receive an immunization against meningococcal disease before school begins. Please check with your health care provider to take care of these important immunization requirements before school starts.
Follow-Up on Emma Dorion & the ROR Book Drive

Emma, we are so proud of you.

EPI Supply Packs are now available for online purchasing. You are not obligated to use EPI. If you do, you must order by June 13. The supply packs will be delivered directly to your homes by the end of July . Please note: the supply packs do not necessarily contain all the items on the grade level supply lists. Some things you must purchase separately. Please see the attachment below for the EPI supply lists. Also attached below is the complete SMM list of required supplies for grades PreK-3 through 7.
STEAM CAMP IS A GO!!!
We have enough campers registered to have STEAM Camp. BUT, the last day to register is Friday, May 28th. It is also the last day to order a Camp T-Shirt in order to have one for camp.
We have extended the age for STEAM Campers to include those entering 7th grade. So, current sixth graders going into 7th grade may attend STEAM Camp this summer.

Order the 2020-2021 SMM Yearbook Now
Would you like to recognize your children for their success in school this year? Place a congratulatory ad for his/her promotion? Would you like to advertise your business in a place where over 500 parents can see it?
It’s easy to create a recognition ad. Just send us a copy of your favorite photo and compose your message. While you’re thinking of what your ad will look like, also think about the size of the ad space. Select a horizontal or vertical format in a variety of sizes and costs. Take a look at the examples in our brochure. You can do the same thing for a business ad.
Please click on this link for information about placing ads our yearbook this year. https://yearbookavenue.jostens.com/sell/ad/offers.html
You design your own ad, but it must be in good taste and appropriate for a Catholic elementary school. If you have any questions, please contact Coach Gay in the school office.

'ROE V. WADE' MOVIE SCREENING at SMM CHURCH on MONDAY, JUNE 7
A Message from Fr. Ed
Dear Parents,
While this school year ends this week we will continue ‘opening up’ to full participation at Sunday Masses in all Catholic parishes. For the first weekend of June (June 4-5-6) Archbishop Aymond calls on all Catholics to return to the celebration of Sunday Mass. This obligation for Catholics is meant to also emphasize the privilege of gathering again as God’s people for the Mass
where we celebrate ‘in person’ the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ.
On Friday, June 4, 7:30 PM we will have a Holy Hour to begin the month of June, the month of the Sacred Heart.
June 5-6 we will celebrate the solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ. (see your church bulletin for Saturday vigil and Sunday Mass times)
Looking forward to seeing you at Mass throughout the weekends of summer!
God bless you as the first and best of teachers in the ways of Faith!
Father Ed
Pastor
St. Margaret Mary Church Mass schedule:
SAT 4:00 pm 6:00 pm (Spanish)
SUN 8:30, 10:!5.12 Noon, and 5 PM
Please Pray for Our Priests
Here is a brief prayer that you may want to use:
Eternal Father, we lift up to you these and all the priests of the world. Sanctify them. Heal and guide them. Mold them into the likeness and holiness of your Son, Jesus, the Eternal High Priest. May their lives be pleasing tp you. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen
GREAT NEWS!
Ellen Gauthreaux, Executive Director, is excited to advise you that the USDA has extended waivers allowing SFNS to serve free meals through the 2021-2022 school year. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call. Thanks!
