From Mrs. Schubert
Hello Pioneer Peak Families-
As we approach the end of another academic year, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the incredible journey we've had together. It has been a year filled with growth, learning, and memorable experiences for all of us.
I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to our dedicated teachers and staff who have worked tirelessly to create a nurturing and educating environment for our students. Your commitment to excellence is truly commendable, and I am grateful for all that you do.
To our students, I am immensely proud of each and every one of you. Your hard work, creativity, and enthusiasm have made this school year truly special. I hope you take pride in your accomplishments and carry the lessons learned with you into the summer break. Each one of you has a special spark and brings your own light into our school each day.
Parents and guardians, thank you for your unwavering support throughout the year. Your partnership is vital to the success of our school community, and we are grateful for the trust you place in us to educate and care for your children.
As we look ahead to the next school year, we are excited about the opportunities and challenges that await us. Our commitment to providing a top-notch education remains unwavering, and we are dedicated to creating the best learning environment for all students.
I hope you have a wonderful summer. Please continue to reach out if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you.

Chrome books over the summer
Hello Parents,
During the last week of school, we will be sending chrome books home with each student. They will also get a charging cord if they do not already have one. We know how busy the summer months can be so there is no expectation that students continue working, however studies have shown that students can lose 17-34% of the prior year’s learning gains during summer break. Students will keep access to their instructional programs like iReady and other Clever Apps if you want them to continue during June and July. Chromebooks must come back when students return to school in August. If you know you are moving out of district/state, please let your classroom teacher know. If you are moving within district, your students chromebook can go with them.
STUDENTS MOVING TO MIDDLE SCHOOL: You will need to take your chromebook with you. If your parent does not want to keep it over the summer break, it is the responsibility of your parent to take it to your next school.
If you have any questions or would like more information, please feel free to contact Mrs. Schubert.
SY24/25 Boundary Exemption applications
This is now open in ParentVUE. Make sure you choose SY24/25 and not this school year. If you are outside of our boundary you must fill this application out before the online registration. Registration will not open until July 1st. Please get on today to fill out the boundary application for current students and any new KDG students.
Registrations will be denied if you do not fill the application our first.
Also, if you have a KDG student coming in next year please email Katie with the students name!
Thank you and please call Katie with any questions.
Art and Science Fun~
What a wonderful year it has been!!! Can’t wait to explore more Art and Science with the students next year! Keep being creative and exploring this summer!
PE "Active"-ities
PE Shoes: When looking for PE shoes for next school year, please make sure shoes tie or Velcro on the foot. Slip on shoes are not allowed in the gym as they fly off when kids are running. Also check the soles of the shoes. Several shoes have a more plastic style bottom which makes for a very slippery run for kids. Look for more of a rubber sole so students have grip on the gym floor.
Summer Activities:
Here’s hoping that this summer is a nice one to get out, and get ACTIVE!! There are SO many things to do in AK this summer! Keep it up!!!
