Teacher Advisory Meeting
The Fudge Shoppe was the venue for Dr. Bethea's Teacher Advisory Meeting. Teachers enjoyed a sweet treat while discussing important topics with Dr. Bethea. We appreciate all our teachers and their dedication to the students in Marion County School District!
Marion High School's Golf Team Receives Donation
Marion High School's golf team has received a generous donation from Horry Telephone Cooperative! We are incredibly thankful for the support and all that HTC does for the community as well! Thank you, HTC!
Intersession Camp
During Fall Intersession, our schools hosted an Intersession Camp for students in grades 3-5. It was a great week of learning and fun! Students were engaged in intentional learning in math, reading, and writing and even had the opportunity to "shop" from the "Book Buggy." They could choose five new books to take home and add to their library. We were so pleased to see our students engaged and excited about learning!
MCSD's High Schools Receive New Furniture
The first shipment of furniture arrived at Marion High, Mullins High, and the Academy for Careers and Technology during the fall intersession. We can't wait to see new furniture in all our schools!

WBTW Blitz Player of the Week
The MCSD School Board of Education recognized Marion High School’s football standout, Quay’sheed Scott at the October Board Meeting! He was WBTW Blitz Pee Dee player of the week for Week 1 and has been selected to play in the Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas. Congratulations to Quay’sheed! We look forward to watching you play at the next level!
CTE Technical Assistance Team Visit
MCSD welcomed the CTE Technical Assistance Team from the South Carolina State Department of Education. The team assisted in developing a plan to increase career pathways in our high schools.
Karaoke in the Park
Karaoke in the Park was a huge success! This parent and community engagement activity provided an afternoon filled with fun, laughter, and fellowship! We have a lot of talent in Marion County! Thank you to all the attendees!

2023 Pee Dee Regional Advocacy Meeting
The Marion County School Board of Education recently held the South Carolina School Boards Association 2023 Pee Dee Regional Advocacy Meeting. The meeting was held at Creek Bridge STEM Academy.
