COUGAR NEWS 2023-2024
Issue # 24 January 27, 2024
A Message From Principal Scott
Cougar Families,
Incredible FFA project show this weekend. I hope you were able to attend supporting our students and seeing our amazing Tomball Agricultural Center at Tomball Innovation Center. I was so proud to see our students’ efforts in showcasing their projects. A special thanks to our Ag teachers, families and community for the continued support of a great program that teaches our students so much.
The close of our course selection window for the 2025 school year is drawing near. Home Access Center is open for student course selection through February 5, 2024 until 3:00 p.m. Please make sure your student has completed their course selection by the deadline so that we can offer the appropriate classes based on our student’s requested needs. Counselors will be available Tuesday - Friday of next week during Cougar Block and all lunches to advise students.
This week we have plenty of basketball, golf and soccer going on as well as the first pitch for softball season as they get ready with some scrimmages. Come out for some Cougar wins as our teams showcase their talents. Speaking of talent, mark your calendar for Mr. Debonair on February 8, 2024 as our senior men demonstrate why they should be this year’s winner of our annual Mr. Debonair contest. Best wishes to all the participants.
Let’s have a great week at the PRIDE of Texas!
Success in all things,
Chris Scott Principal, Tomball High School

Thank you for all your hard work with our Cougars!!
Parking Lot Safety
Please be mindful when driving in our back parking lot. We have a lot of traffic dropping off students; picking up students; parking to come to school; and exiting while leaving school.
We have many students and staff members who are walking to and from the building in the parking lot when many of you are driving in it. Please pay attention. Please stay off your phones while driving.
The speed limit in the parking lot is 5mph and we need everyone to slow down for safety.
Thank You!
DECA
Congratulations to Tomball High School DECA Chapter for being Charter of the Month for the achievement of Growing a Chapter and being recognized by DECA District 4.

We are using a new four year planning program called Eduthings. This tool will allow students and parents to collaborate throughout high school on a virtual four year plan.
Student Packet
Student course selection packets will be distributed January 16 or 17 during Cougar Block to students in 9th-11th grade.
Counselors
Counselors are available each day at all student lunches.
