Ms. Law's 4th grade class won the Golden Spoon Award ... twice! During the months of October and November this class earned the most points for respectful behavior in the cafeteria. Their prize - ice cream sundaes!

Our 5th grade students researched an animal, designed a PowerPoint, and presented their findings to their classmates. Well done!

Our 6th grade students synthesized their learning about erosion by creating ... memes!

The Student Council Diaper Drive was a huge success! Thank you to everyone who sent in donations. The diapers are on their way to the CBSD Farmers Market for local families in need.

Please help us spread some cheer to our Gayman community! Choose a tag from our kindness wall. Each tag represents a gift card totaling $10 .Then, bring the gift card to the Gayman Office before Friday, December 17th.

For every tag taken from the wall, a heart with your family’s name will be placed on our giving tree. Thank you for your kindness, support, and generosity!

Do you know a young person who accepts and takes personal responsibility for his/her actions? Then, consider nominating that child for December's Boomerang Award: Asset #30 Responsibility!

This quote may optimize the wish that many parents have for their children’s future. Finding that ideal job is the challenge and for our children it is often a matter of “trying things on” to see what fits. The link below shares interesting looks at how people feel about the work they do. Although many of the videos may be more appropriate for older students, some could be fun for the younger ones such as Kite Designer or Experimental Film and Stop Motion Animator.

Perhaps take a few minutes over the upcoming school break and watch some of these with your sons and daughters. Ask them what they think, and listen. You both may learn something about “a job you enjoy doing.”

Sharing Information with Programs

Any Central Bucks family who may need a little extra food assistance is welcome to join us on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of every month at Barclay Elementary School. Our drive-up food distributions run from 4:30 to 5:30 PM.

Parents and guardians are able to submit an absence request via the Parent Portal. When a student is absent from school, but the school did not receive communication from the parent or guardian, a text message and email will be sent.

All attendance questions can be directed to Christine Stevens, cstevens@cbsd.org, in the Gayman Office.

To volunteer or chaperone, your clearances must be up-to-date.

If your clearances are current, upload them into the App Garden - Volunteer Tracker. If your clearances have expired, or you need to begin the clearance process, click on the Required Documents for the directions. The CB East Patriot Players are hosting our Children's Theatre Workshop on Saturday, January 15, 2022, 1-4:30 pm.

The event is a fantastic theatrical exploration day for elementary school students enthusiastically and skillfully led by the Patriot Players! Students will have the opportunity to sing, dance, act, and perform with the guidance of the Patriot Players. Cost is $25 and includes a "Junior Patriot Player" t-shirt and snack.
