What A Great Day To Be An Eagle!
Hello EACS Parents,
The days in November are moving briskly. Before you know it, the end of the semester will be here. Our students are starting off the 2nd quarter on the right track. They are becoming more and more attentive in the classrooms. Please encourage your child each day to bring their very best self to school! I am looking forward to the success they will achieve this quarter.
As always, thank you for your continued support of our school. You are a very important piece of the puzzle that keeps our frame together. I look forward to our continued effort in working together to show our students that it does take a team. TEAM-Together Everyone Achieves More!
Your Principal,
Lynn Mills
Front Office Flow
Our Front Office Staff (Alysia, Kari, and Nurse Jan),
Are doing an amazing job ensuring that EACS remains afloat. These captains have really been working for our school. They do it with a smile! They have a few reminders.
- If your child is having their picture retaken, please send in a note to tell us why. Example: "smile more" or "smile less".
- The front office will be looking at proof of residency forms to ensure we are in compliance.
- Parents don't get blind sided. You may get "missing assignment notifications" from Q in the student portal.
Graditude
A huge thank you to the PTO for organizing during parent teacher conferences to feed the staff. You all really did amazing work to supply delicious foods. We thank you for your consideration, time, and efforts. Amazing Teamwork! Again, thank you!

Hair
- Students may not use any type of unnatural hair dye or coloring (pink, blue, purple, green, yellow, orange, etc.).
- Haircuts will be of a conservative cut that will not draw undue attention to one's self. No irregular shaving of the head, such as Mohawks, one side shaved, etc.
- Hair should be clean, well-kept and not obstruct vision or distract from learning.
- Visible hair restraints such as barrettes, scrunchies and headbands must match a color in the uniform being worn, or match the hair color.
Parents, please be mindful of students' hair styles upon arriving to school.
Alaska Native/Native American Heritage Month
Since 1990, November has been declared as Alaska Native American Indian Heritage Month. November is a time to celebrate the history, traditions, and rich and diverse indigenous cultures of Alaska and the country.
Inclement Weather
'Tis the Season
Temperatures will be starting to drop. We go outside (weather permitting, to 10 degrees below zero) for recess every day. Students who do not have their gear will not be able to play at recess. Please, please, please send your student(s) to school with appropriate winter outerwear. This means:
- warm coat
- winter hat
- mittens or gloves
- scarves
- snow pants
- boots
It is always a good idea to mark your child’s name on all items. You would be surprised how many pairs of black snow pants we get!

We Need Your Help
Parents,
Our days are getting shorter. The sun definitely comes out later in the day. Our number one goal is to keep to all of our students and staff safe. If you have any flood lights and a generator that we could use to help light up our playground, please contact the front office.
