Love is in the air, come gain ideas on how to lovingly support your student
Gereen R. Francis, M.S., BCBA
As the Behavior Interventionist and District Coordinator for Positive Behavioral Intervention and Support (PBIS) at City Schools of Decatur, Gereen provides behavioral training, consultation, and coaching for both general and special education school personnel.
Gereen is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and has been working in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis since 2009. Her love for the field began at the Marcus Autism Center in Atlanta, Georgia where she served in the roles of a direct therapist in the Severe Behavior department and a Behavioral Parenting Counselor in the Language and Learning Clinic. Gereen also served as a Behavior Specialist at the Center for Leadership in Disability at Georgia State University where she provided training and technical assistance related to Individualized Positive Behavior Support for K-12 districts across the state of Georgia and the Pyramid Model for the Babies Can't Wait early intervention program.
Gereen has a deep passion for training and coaching families, educators, and early interventionists who care for children who engage in challenging behaviors and who may also have limited vocal language. Gereen's goal is to motivate and empower others by building their confidence and competence to implement practical and feasible prevention and teaching strategies to achieve positive, long-lasting behavior change.
Gereen is also a mom whose son makes her question her behavioral expertise often! :)
