Henderson County Schools
January 15, 2020
We are currently monitoring the attendance of our students and staff during this cold and flu season. Our attendance has remained this week at 91.5%.
School staff is also taking extra measures to disinfect our school buildings and our school buses.
Canceling school and canceling after school activities is a difficult decision to make. Our general practice is to cancel all after school activities when school is closed. However, a different decision can be made based on the situation and once that decision is made it will be communicated in a timely manner.
It is important to Teach Your Kids to Avoid Colds
Wash your hands. Hand-washing is the best way to stop germs from spreading.
Use hand sanitizer
Cough into your elbow
Use a tissue
Sharing is not always caring
Take care of yourself
Help Your Child Succeed in School: Build the Habit of Good Attendance Early! School success goes hand in hand with good attendance!
We need to work together as a community – school and business leaders, parents, students, teachers, doctors, neighbors – to get all kids to school – on time, every day.
