SIT Meeting and PTA Meeting
The School Improvement Team will meet on Monday at 5:30 PM in the Media Center.
The PTA meeting is also on Monday at 6:30 PM in the Media Center.
Curriculum Nights
Come out and meet with your child's teacher to learn about curriculum expectations, field trips, classroom routines, assessments, volunteer opportunities, and more!

Battle of the Books Parent Interest Meeting - (4th/5th only)
Thursday, August 4th @ 5:45-6:30 PM in the media center
EBOB (Battle of the Books) is a district/state competition in which students read 15 books and compete with other schools over their knowledge of the books. At Easley, this is an after school club (Thursdays 2:15-4:00). I have stopped by the classrooms and left interest forms students can fill out if they are interested. They can also fill out an online version:https://forms.gle/Xz11EYzy5MuGp85cA. The next step is a parent meeting. The meeting will be required for any parent who has a child interested that has never participated before. If they did it at some point last year, I still suggest attending the meeting, but feel free to reach out if you cannot for any changes/updates. The meeting will be the same night as the 4th and 5th grade curriculum night, Aug 4th. The meeting will be in the media center at 5:45. It should be over in plenty of time for you to attend the meeting at 6:45. Please contact me either via Bloomz or email at caroline_hartley@dpsnc.net with any questions.
AIG(Academically and Intellectually Gifted) Parent Information Night
Monday, August 8th at 6:00 PM in the media center. Come out and learn about our AIG program, meet the AIG team of teachers, view your child's DEP, and have any questions answered. This event is being held specifically for parents of students who are already identified so they can view, and sign, the Differentiated Education Plan but any parent is welcome to attend if they wish to learn more about our AIG programing.

PTA Hot Dog Dinner
We hope you can join us on Thursday, August 11th at 6:00 PM for our first community event of the school year, the Welcome Back Hot Dog Dinner. With the purchase of a PTA membership you receive a free dinner.

Volunteer Opportunities
We are so excited to have volunteers back in the building! Your child's classroom teacher will inform you of volunteer opportunities. In order to serve as a volunteer you must complete the registration form and background check. Please view the links below for more information.
