Mrs. Goodman's Message
Hello Miller Families,
It's hard to believe our time is winding down and the end-of-the-year festivities are quickly approaching! We had an amazing week with Principal Pals and every child enjoyed their tasty slushie and a read-aloud. I had so much fun visiting all of the classes and I must say we have some of the most polite children who continuously said please and thank you! Your children also enjoyed the warmer temps and playing outside with their friends. We want to take the time to say thank you for your amazing partnership throughout this school year. We feel honored to be working together to help your child grow each day!
Here are some important reminders for the week:
- Kindergarten parents, don't forget there is a Parent Orientation on Monday, 5/15 at 6:00 PM. This event is for adults only to hear important information about the transition to Craddock Elementary School. Students will be participating in a visit to Craddock during the last week of school so they can have a more child-friendly opportunity to get ready for next year!
- Cleveland Guardians Day: This Thursday, May 18th is our final PBIS Assembly with the CLE Hot Dogs, Slider, and the Scream Team. As I've shared in our newsletter, if you have a preschooler or kindergartner in our AM program, you may come for our assembly at 1:45 to get seated. Please come to the playground gate and we will show your child to the seating area. (Please know this is a closed event and only the parents of our AM children who are bringing them to our assembly will be permitted.) We will share many pictures and videos of our fun-filled day! The show starts at 2:00. Your child can wear Guardians Gear, or Red, Yellow, or White to match their favorite Hot Dog condiment color!
- Preschool families, please make sure you have saved the date for our Preschool Family Playground Party and Preschool Graduation. We are excited to welcome you to school to say farewell for the summer and of course, send off your amazing preschoolers to kindergarten through our graduation ceremony. Preschool graduation will be on Tuesday, May 23rd at 5:30 PM. Our Preschool Family Playground Party will be on Thursday, May 25th from 11:00-11:30 for our AM classes and 2:30-3:00 for our PM classes.
Finally, we would like to wish a Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers, grandmothers, aunts, and sisters who enter the lives of our young children. We are all shaped by others in our lives, so whoever you are celebrating with this weekend, we hope you enjoy your time spent together or the time you will spend reflecting on fond memories of loved ones. Happy Mother's Day!

Craddock, Here I Come!
Hello Incoming First Grade Craddock Families!
I am getting so excited to meet with you on Monday, 5/15 at 6:00 for our Incoming 1st Grade Parent Orientation. This meeting will be held in the Craddock gymnasium. You can park towards the front of the building and enter through door 1 or by the Board of Education/courtyard and enter through door 3.
Mrs. Kerchenski, our school secretary, Mrs. Ambrosia, our school counselor and I will be on hand to present some important information and answer any and all questions you might have. Our goal is to get you feeling comfortable and excited about your child's transition to Craddock for the 23-24 school year! Mrs. Goodman will send out the slides from the presentation to all families in case we have some who are not able to attend.
In the meantime, if you have any questions about this evening or 1st grade, don't hesitate to reach out using my contact information below.

Slider and the CLE Hot Dogs are Coming to Miller - Thurs. May 18th
Due to scheduling constraints and our unique AM/PM school schedule, we only have the CLE team in the afternoon on Thursday, May 18th at 1:45. If your child is in AM preschool or AM kindergarten, you are invited to bring your child to school for this event. We just ask that one adult brings your child to school due to limited space. We understand this brings a little extra scheduling on your part, but we're hopeful with advance notice you and your child can come to Miller for this event. If you have a particular need or have any questions, please feel free to call or email me and I'm happy to help troubleshoot.
I also want to share that we are aware some children may be a little shy around costumes. We will be seated on the grassy area of our playground away from Slider and the Hot Dogs. We have a calm room if needed and it would be helpful if you communicate any concerns with me or your child's teacher.
Spring Music Updates
Hello Families!
We wanted to share that we have an additional music educator, Mr. Justin Moore, joining us to teach our afternoon music classes for the remainder of the year. Mrs. Iriarte will still be teaching classes that have music in the morning, so your children may still have her as their music educator. Mr. Moore has been a music educator in the district for the past year and a half and is stepping in and teaching in the afternoons. If you have any questions, please let us know! Welcome, Mr. Moore!
The spring is full of musical sounds and your child has been wonderfully learning about rhythm patterns, moving to the beat and choreographed movements to folk partner songs with classmates. We are sharing a digital music performance with our kindergarten families this year instead of a music concert. Your classroom teacher will share this copy by the end of the school year.
Look for a few sneak previews in ClassDojo this spring as we continue to learn and grow in our musical abilities!

Extra Clothes
1: Please make sure your child has a change of clothes in their backpack. This includes extra socks and underwear. They often feel more comfortable in their own clothing.
2: Our clinic is running low on pants. If your family has a pair of girls or boys pants that your child has out grown and you would be willing to donate to our school, we would appreciate any donations. Please send in washed items labeled "Extra Clinic Clothes" and we will put them to good use. Thank you!
Hello Miller Families! Below are AEPTO updates.
1. Thank you to everyone who shopped at Mazzulo's during the Community Give Back Event! We raised around $500!
2. Our Magic Gives Back event was last weekend and we hope everyone had as much fun as we did! Thanks to our families and friends, we raised $5000 for the AEPTO and HHPTO!
3. Our spring flower fundraiser pick up was last weekend as well. Thank you to our volunteers who helped unload the truck and load items into cars. Another thank you to our chairs, Katie Stump and Anna Kandra, for another successful fundraiser!
4. Last Day of School - Thursday, May 25th! The AEPTO is partnering with LeeAngelos to provide cheese pizza for all day kindergartners for the last day of school! There will be gluten pizza provided as well.
5. Yearbooks should be delivered on May 22 and sent home to those who ordered by the end of the week. Thank you to our Yearbook Chairs, Jenna Smith and Sisily Strobridge, for working on the yearbook all year long!
