Student Bus ID
Parents,
Starting in January, ALL students who use the school bus to/from school on a daily basis will need a BUS ID. Our campus will provide IDs to students that we have identified as using bus transporation services. Our goal is to issue an ID to all these students within the first week back in school. Please assist us in making sure your child has their ID as they board/come out the bus.
NOTE: Parents will be responsible in paying $5 for any BUS ID that has been lost/stolen.
After School Learning Camp This Week: NO Tuesday & YES Thursday (3:30 - 4:30)
REMINDER: G3-G5 Sat. Learning Camp & LOC Sessions on Feb. 11th (8 AM-12 PM)
IMPORTANT REMINDERS For PARENTS
No Toys Allowed at School
Parents,
Please assist us in monitoring your child keeps their toys at home. Toys are becoming a distractor in class and are being lost/stolen which cause us time/energy in trying to get these back. Please monitor backpacks and talk with your children in regards to this.
Thank you for your understanding.
Cross Walk Use
Parents,
As a reminder, please use designated crosswalks around our school, Especially during our daily dismissal. Parents are signaling their child but are not using the crosswalks. We want to make sure you and your child are safe as you cross high traffic areas.
No Pets Allowed
As a reminder, pets are not allowed in school grounds.

No Tardies Please! School Starts at 7:30 AM!!
We will begin documeting arrival times for scholars that report to school past 7:45 AM. There is minimal traffic by 7:30 AM at our school, therefore, there should be no reason for your child to arrive late. Remember, your child depends on you in order for them to get to school on time.
Frequent tardies are also subject to disciplinary measures as indicated in SISD Student Handbook.
Thank you for your assistance in this matter.

Reporting Absences to MRE
If you need to report an absence, our PEIMS Clerk will be able to assist you. Our team will be receiving the email to help assist you. I will forward all of your messages to the classroom teachers so they are aware of the absence.
Email: attendancemissionridge@sisd.net
Please include as much detail as possible:
- Child's name
- Grade
- Teacher
- Student ID
- Reason for the absence
All notes will be collected via this email as well. Be sure to include details in the note as the child returns to class.
This year, the district will not quarantine scholars. We will treat COVID like the flu. Be sure to get a note from the doctor to return to school. With a doctor's note, these absences will be excused absences and still accumulate towards loss of credit.
If they have a doctor’s note, it must be included in the email as an attachment.
You can also go to this email address to get the attendance note to submit:

Snapology at the MISSION!
Socorro ISD teams up with Care Solace for mental health care coordination services
The Socorro Independent School District has partnered with Care Solace, an organization determined to calm the chaos of mental health care coordination, to expand access to community mental health and substance use treatment providers for students, staff, and their families.
Care Solace provides a Care Companion™ team who can quickly and confidentially find available providers in the community. Care Solace also equips SISD with a customized online tool that gives community members a way to anonymously search for community-based providers matched to their needs.
“Socorro ISD provides endless opportunities for students and staff to succeed. We are proud to partner with Care Solace to give our students, staff, and their families even more support, especially in times of need,” said SISD Superintendent Nate Carman, Ed.D. “This is a great resource that will enable us to enhance the care and support that our dedicated SISD leadership team strives to deliver daily for all students and staff.”
SISD will use Care Solace to support its mission of optimizing each student’s academic, artistic, athletic, career and interpersonal opportunities and to provide another layer of assistance for each student’s social and emotional well-being.
With Care Solace, families and staff gain access to a dedicated Care Companion™ to navigate the mental health care system on their behalf, calling providers to find the right fit and availability. They help families with private insurance, Medicaid, and no insurance, and are available 24/7/365 in any language.
Care Solace’s care navigation system uses proprietary technology and a vast database of behavioral and mental health care resources to find carefully verified therapists and programs in minutes.
"The effects of loss, isolation, uncertainty, and fatigue brought on by the pandemic continue to pose new challenges for students, staff, and their families," said Chad Castruita, Founder and CEO of Care Solace. "We are proud to support Socorro Independent School District in prioritizing the well-being of its school community by providing timely access into mental health care and substance use treatment services.”
The Care Solace service is now available at no cost to Socorro Independent School District students, staff, and their families. For more information about Care Solace, please visit https://www.caresolace.org.
